I saw this on a poster advert
for Yahoo answers but can't
remember what it said! We
have a troublesome cat that keeps scratching the hell out of our car - its parked next to a hedge, which might be the problem, but it's an allocated space, so we're stuck there. Help! It's ruining our car's paintwork.

Try spraying the hedge with a bit of diluted cider vinegar. I've used it on the edging of my garden to keep the neighbors cats from using it as a litter box. I've had success with it but I have to keep up on it or I get free fertilizer.. Also try (if you are able-legally) to trim the hedge a bit. It give less places for puss to hide and lurk to do his dirty work :)

Check your local pet store for a product called "Scram", Spray both your car and your bush for several days, every 8 hours or so. Eventually the cat will get the idea to stay away! Also, you could try popping the cat in the hiney with a "LOW" power b-b gun to discourage it.

You could use moth balls.They work well. You could put plain water in a spray bottle and spray the cats that come close to your house and car.Contact the owners if there are any or contact humane society in your area so they can pick them up and try to find them a home.

Do a search for 'cat repellent'. Plenty of products out there. You might recognise the one you saw in that poster.

there is actually a cat trap it looks like a big mouse trap,it's pretty rude, but one of my neighbors was pissed, that some cat could vandalize her bmw ,and the owners were not responsible for the damage ,so she laid out a cat trap right next to her car and, never had a problem again, except some neighbors did not like her anymore cuz kitties arm was broken,cost less to fix kitties arm than to repaint her car

walmart has a spray call stay away in the pet aisle or try milk jugs full of water around the hedge and by your car i think they think it is someone standing there
