I would prefer to use a non-toxic, home remedy type of solution, but will try anything at this point to keep the neighborhood cats from peeing all over the outside of my house (mainly the patio and sometimes in the garage).

Powdered cayenne pepper or other really powerful spices sprinkled around the perimeter of your patio will keep all cats, racoons, squirrels, possums, etc. away.

if you spray the area with ammonia full strength it usually works without the chance of discoloring things with bleach. But still spot test a small area just to be sure. Some times it will sting a urinating animal and he will learn quite fast where not to go.

If you dont have small children around try putting down some mothballs. Cats hate the smell. I use them in my garden to keep the neighbours cats from doing their biz in my yard. It really works!

consult your vet about safe ways to keep cats off of things,

they sell stuff to do that. you could also try spraying those areas with bleach.

To blalock and anyone who agrees with him, you're a sick, sick, nasty person if you commit acts of cruelty like shooting cats. I wonder if there's been any missing cats in your area...the SPCA can have you locked up for killing cats!
