This morning my parents woke me up and my cat, Minnie, was very disoreinted.. My dad figures she has had a stroke.. she was very lost and scared.. it was like she couldn't see.. She was unable to walk straight.. but as soon as the door to my bedroom was opened she tried to make her way to my bed.. I am really scared and I don't know what this could mean.. She is the love of my life.. and I want her to live atleast until I have my baby so she/he can be graced with her precence.. I love my cat more than I love life. It sounds crazy but I would die for my cat.. She means the world to me.. I really need help.. we are taking her to the vet as soon as possible.. well.. I am taking her to the vet.. but of course.. the vet is closed due to the holiday..which makes me absolutely furious!

There are a couple of sites on line that can be of help to You today.

www.JustAnswer.com You can set a fee like 5,8 or $10 dollars and ask Your question.

You can also go to www.animalhealthchannel.com

They have information that might be helpful.
You can also pay $10 to speak to a Vet, or Vet tech. It would be worth Your peace of mind.

I love My Cats so much. Perhaps Your baby just can't see as well. Perhaps She is dehydrated. Try gently raising the hair on the back of Her neck. If it goes back slowly then She is Dehydrated. Look this info up on the second site.

And pray, God can do things no one here can do.

God Bless You and Your Baby Minnie and Your Baby to Be.....

Sad to say, but take her to the vet asap, and have her put to sleep before her symptoms get worse. You could always get a kitten after the baby is born, which will be easier on the cat. It's often very hard for a cat or dog to deal with a new baby in the home. For a sick cat to have to cope with the squall of a new baby will be more than she should bear.

The best way you can show her your love right now is to not prolong her discomfort any more than necessary. She won't understand that all the treatment your vet gives her is to make her better, she's only see how hard it is to live like this.

It does sound like she has had a stroke.
Consider taking her to an emergency vet and saying good bye to her. I know it's hard, but it's unfair to let her suffer.
Fast treatment is necessary for strokes. If you want her to live you have to get to the vet, PRONTO. It's gonna be expensive too, just to let you know.
The baby won't rememer the kitty, so please let her go.

you do realize that there are such places as "EMERGENCY" veterinary hospitals!!!!!! all you do is call them and they'll tell you to just come right over!!

if you truly loved your cat as much as you say you do then you will rush her to one ASAP!!!!! she could die before this day is over you know!!!

you shouldn't have waited this long!!!! since she already had a stroke then she needs medical attention right now!!!

I had to take my 2 yr. old male to one on a Saturday because his kidneys suddenly failed (unfortunatly, I had to put him to sleep) :( RIP Tiger!! I hope you have better luck at those emergency hospitals than I did with my cat!!!!

Good Luck! HIH!! I know what you're going through! trust me!!

P.S. how old is she?

Edit:
sorry, didn't pay attention to the title!! hehe!

This cat has been your friend for 14 yrs.
In return for her love & companionship she has depended on you to take care of her needs. Now she needs you to love her enough to let her go. She doesn't deserve to suffer. It will be the hardest thing you have to do but she is depending on you.
Remember you will grieve for her, & hurt for her but you will forever get to keep her memory. Take care.

Your vet should have an emergency after hours number. If they do hound them until they will let you come in. She sounds as though she really needs them.

Awww the poor thing...She is probably dying. Please try to find an emergency animal hospital so you can have her checked out and if necessary put to sleep....She is in distress from what you say....
Just comfort her and don't leave her alone...and please take her in....

I'm so sorry.(((hugs)))
edited to add that it sounds like she is or has had a seizure.
