I have to get rid of my cats...love them dearly, very hard thing for me to do. However, I have just found that my son is allergic to them. Anybody know a shelter that won't put them to sleep?

We "adopted" our cat from the wild when she was about 9 months old. She was weak, skinny, bleeding, etc. Anyway, she won our hearts and now I'm thinking about getting her a playmate. The problem is that she hisses viciously when other cats or dogs get anywhere near our property - I wonder if she was attacked when she was living in the wild. So, I'm trying to decide if maybe I could get her a kitten, something she could "mother", something nonthreatening. We are perfectly happy with just one pet, but would kitty be happier with company. ???

I've already tried Resolve stain remover and Arm and Hammer pet stain remover. I have put the Arm and Hammer on 3 times and vaccummed it up and it isn't helping at all.

YESTERDAY I BROUGHT HOME 1 YEAR OLD TIGER CAT. HER LAST OWNER MOVED AWAY AND LEFT HER TO FEND FOR HERSELF. SHE IS SO FRIENDLY THAT WE HAVE DECIDE TO KEEP HER. I CAN'T THINK OF A GOOD NAME FOR HER THOUGH.

I HAVE ANOTHER CAT NAME SAM. HE DOESN'T SEEM TO MIND THE NEW KITTY. THIS FEMALE DOESN'T WANT TO GET TO KNOW HIM THOUGH. SHE HISS'S AT POOR SAM. I'M SURE IN A FEW DAYS SHE'LL RELIZED SAM LIVES HERE TOO. OTHER THAN THIS SAM THING, SHE SEEMS TO LIKE IT HERE.

OK, SO GIVE ME SOME GOOD NAMES.

My 1 year old fixed male cat licks me so much when he kneads that my shirt get soaked if I don't move him away. I understand the kneading part, someitmes with or without the claws, but the licking I don't understand. he will jump on anyone who is on the couch and just starts the whole process. Is the licking the next step in "getting the milk out?" No one else's cat does this part.

My 1 year old male cat has been netured but still urinates on things. He did it as a kitten but after some reprimanding with a spray bottle and rough handling he quit. I just got a new comforter; he peed on the spread, all the shams, and even me at night. He peed in two plastic bags in front of his litter box and he got on the dinner table and peed on a bag there too. We put his face in his pee and use a spray bottle but it seems to not work. He knows he does the wrong thing when he pees because he seems to coware around. He is the sweetest cat and I don't want to get rid of him. What should I do?

We have a 3 year old cat and are having a problem with him pooping on a new rug we bought. First the rug was folded up under the steps when he went on it. Then, when we placed the rug in place (just inside the front door), he did it again. We also think he pee'd on it.

He has a clean litter box that he normally uses. He is an indoor cat. The only other time we had a problem like this was in our old house. We kept his litter box next to the steps in the basement. We later found about 50+ piles of poop in a crawl space just under the steps...right next to where we keep his box. I scoop and wash his box regularly and we live in a clean home. How do I correct this behavior or why is he doing it?

My only guess is that he really doesn't like the rug :)

Since muffers had her kittens she has become very vocal a lot. I watch her a lot and I don't think she is ill when she uses the bathroom it don't seem like she hurting in that area. She also is eating a whole lot and I'm buying her large amount of food also her food bill has gone up a lot. she takes very good care of the babies.
The babies are very busy and this is her first litter and it seems like she trying to tell me something also the babies climb in and out of the basket on thier own now and I don't think she likes that but they are 4 weeks old and they are very busy. Is that why she so vocal? is she worried about the babies? is that what mother cats do after they have thier babies? Before she had babies she only meowed when she was ready to eat. What is going on with muffer and what is she telling me. Please no unessary respones.

I have 2 cats (Stinky & Blinky) who are 8 years old, brothers, and when younger were totally black. Blinky's whiskers have turned white and he got white hair in his ears. Stinky, on the other hand, has stayed black. I am 52 years old and MY whiskers have turned gray and I get hair on my ears. Is there something in my household environment that is doing this to us? I am debating whether or not to get some Grecian Formula or Just for Men to make me look younger. Should I use this on Blinky too or will the other cats even care? Is Stinky secretly dying his hair behind my back?
