I have 2 cats (Stinky & Blinky) who are 8 years old, brothers, and when younger were totally black. Blinky's whiskers have turned white and he got white hair in his ears. Stinky, on the other hand, has stayed black. I am 52 years old and MY whiskers have turned gray and I get hair on my ears. Is there something in my household environment that is doing this to us? I am debating whether or not to get some Grecian Formula or Just for Men to make me look younger. Should I use this on Blinky too or will the other cats even care? Is Stinky secretly dying his hair behind my back?

At 8 and 52, it's a natural thing for you both to turn gray. I know, because I'm 53 and we are all getting old. Why mess with Mother Nature? (and it's probably not good for the cat to absorb dye into its system)!

The cat is getting gray. My 14-yr-old black cat Inky (who passed away a month ago) never got gray hairs, but my other cat Pretty Kitty (who is 9) is getting some on her back and tail. Some cats age well and some don't, just like people.

Use the dye for yourself but not on the cats for Pete's sake!

your cat is getting older, in some cat it happens sooner then other even when they are brothers.

just to be on the safe side take him to the vet to have him checked up.
