Try your local Humane Society, they usually do it cheaper than vets... they used to have a "Snip" program that will help help people with low incomes get their animal spayed or neutered at low cost. Don't know if it exists in your area but it wouldn't hurt to ask...

The cost is different with each animal hospital , and it also depends on if its a female ( spay ) or male ( neuter) . I say this because I have had people say neuter when its a female and spay when its a male . If cost is a problem check with you local humane society usually they know of a cheap animal clinic / hospital you can go to. I would call around

It's important to get your cat neutered, so if you don't have the cash I reccomend looking into free programs at an animal shelter. But the operation can be anywhere from 75 to 130 dollars, I believe.

It's about $50 - $100 here for neutering and $100-$200 for spaying.

Certain places in Ohio it cost between 29.00 up to 65.00. Thats not counting the shots they will give your cat and everything else THEY recommend. Be very careful with some vets. They will say they had to do this or give the cat that and raise the price way up on you.

Call your local SPCA. They usually spay or neuter animals for a fraction of what a vet charges.
