Give your cat some kitten food and mix it with some fancy feast in a can. I had a skinny cat too, then my sister told me to do that and in 3 months, my cat was a chunky monkey. Good luck.

The food is important. science diet makes some good choices as far as dry foods which are better for the teeth. Switch from regular food to kitten food. it's higher in fat and is designed for growing animals. I wouldn't recommend trying to feed your cat human foods to increase weight. Also, the breed of the cat will play a part in how much weight the cat should gain. Many pet owners don't realize that healthy cats are generally thin. The cat may also have worms, which are fairly simple to treat.

Make sure the cat doesnt have worms. Worms actually feed off the food the cats eat in the bowels and not leaving enough nutriants for kitty. If kitty is deemed healty then like others said, find foodyour cat likes..you might have to try a few things. My cats are soooo picky its insane. They wont even eat certain brands..how nuts is that! give your cat some can food every day. 1 can is like feeding your cat 4 mice. before long your cat will put on weight. the bad side to this is it will also be spoiled. once you start feeding it can food, it won't let you stop.

Feed a high quality diet that is very calorie dense.
Also they make a suppliment called Nutri-Cal
It is a paste that is very high in calories and can even be used in place of food if your pet is sick. You can get a tube at the petstore or like Petsmart and give a little bit evey day to add more calories.

Make sure there is nothing wrong with the cat first, and then maybe try to wet food mixed in with the dry food. That always works on cats. Ask your vet about canned tuna. They always love tuna.
