My indoor cat has fleas- They are either finding their way into my house from the stray cats outside or my downstairs neighbor's cat (who does go outside) has fleas and they are getting into my apartment from an infestation in her apt. downstairs. I have treated my apt (flea bombed) & treated my cat with frontline. I brush him at least 2x a day and vacuum often. We stay flea free for about a week or two and then I will find one or two adult fleas on him and little to no flea dirt. This has been going on for over a month.

My cat had an adverse reaction to frontline and is still recovering from the hind leg twitching caused by the product. I have asked my downstairs neighbor to treat her cat but the fleas keep coming back. I can't keep using chemicals on my pet & in my apartment and I'm running out of time & money to keep fighting this problem. My vet's suggestion is to have him shaved down. I really don't want to do this -it’s expensive and stressful for my cat. Any suggestions?

I have 2 lovely AKC show quality Shelties and we want to breed them. Finding homes for the pups isn't a problem, we already have homes lined up. However, we are new at this. All our previous dogs have been fixed but since these 2 are such wonderfully intelligent, friendly, and excellent examples of what a Sheltie should look like, we'd like to breed them. The female is nearly 2 and the male is a year and 3 months. Is he too young? I know she is okay to breed. I believe she just went into heat. This is only her second cycle that I know of. Her vulva has swelled but isn't red yet. I haven't noticed blood but our carpeting is dark. However, she is licking ALOT down there, is that a sign? I have been doing a lot of reading and I have read that she will accept the male in about a week if she started yesterday. Is it true that she has 8 days to conceive? Our male hasn't tried to mate her yet. She is also acting abnormally affectionate, is that a sign? (Continued)

My kitten is an inside/outside kitten. She follows her mom around outside alot. I was wondering what age cats start going into heat, and what age is best for them to have kittens, and how will u be able to tell when she is prego to keep her inside.

I know, your all just going to say get her fixed. I plan on it after one litter. I know homes for all her kittens. Up to 6, and If she had more i could find more. I hate when people are rude and just talk about gettin them fixed, so if thats all your going to say, dont reply. Thank you...

I have a 5 month old male kitten and very noticeable hanging down under is tummy is what seems to be a growth.
I'm not sure if this normal, extra skin to grow into maybe, but wasnt sure if it needed a vet trip to investigate further.?

My momma cat used to not eat all her food in one sit, until she became pregnant. The kittens are almost 4 months, and momma is a chunky kitty and has lost her kittenish figure. :D I know this is not healthy for her.

I have been feeding her small portions throughout the day, because I need to feed the kittens several times a day. Her portion doesn't equal more than one full bowl a day, well, maybe a little more, but not much more, and not less. I thought if I fed her that way, rather than giving her 2 meals (1/2 bowl each time) she would lose weight. She is not active, i have no idea how old she is. I found her, or rather she found me. lol. She plays so little, that a few times I saw her running with the kittens, it shocked me pleasantly. She doesn't work off her calories. Help! What I do? I can't leave food down for the kittens, she will eat it, and I have to watch her so she will not get their food when she finishes hers.

So my cat is now a year and a couple months old. she has thing need to bit. i think its more of a security blanket for her.. some cats like to lick people my cat always has to bite my arm or hand or nose or chin.. she does it and ive been trying to get her out of it since she was a little kitten when i first bought her. as i was typeing this actually she bite the top of my hand really hard.. shes not playing but shes not fighting when he does it.. she licks then bites and i dont understand her need for it nor do i know what to do anymore. She knows its wrong because everytime i get mad at her for biteing me so backs away for a few seconds and then slowly trys to do it again in a minute or two once she thinks im not paying attention but shes laying on me so its hard for me not to notice that shes going to try it. is there anything you have tried that stopped ur cat from biting? any suggestions might help... thanks

Im 14. I was thinking of getting some kind of rat. Like a hamster, but I dont really know the different kinds of rats. So what would be the easiest to take care of, and the one that would last the most. Thanx.

I have 2 new female kittens and everytime a turn on the Animal Planet they stop what they are doing and watch - well if they are awake. When I change the channel they go back to what they were doing. I have done this several times to test the theory and it works. Subliminal sounds and messages? Anyone experience the same?

My sister is selling pits and she has them advertised as APBR certified. I have never heard of having a dog certified, just registered. She has a background of making up things about dogs. I just want to know exactly what this means. Thanks!

We have a stray kitten we've been taking care of for about 2 weeks. She's about 4 or 5 weeks old now...so would it be okay to give her a bath? She's about to start eating dry food too. But, do you think it'd be okay to do that, and then use a flea comb to help get the fleas off? If so, what kind of shampoo, that I can get ay Pets*Mart, Target, or Wal*Mart?

I have been caring for a stray for about two weeks now and am becoming fairly attached and am wondering how long do I have to wait before I can actually claim this dog as our new pet? I really like her and want to keep her but no one has called yet and I have yet to find anything anywhere that anyone is seeking her.

Love animals so would not want to harm them in anyway. 40 cars to choose from but they always pick mine! I would not mind but it is the scratches they leave on the roof & bonnet. The muddy paws marks I can clean! I have just changed cars but thismorning there were Paw marks Everywhere, lol Why mine?
