I have had them for over 2 months, aren't guppies supposed to breed hardcore?? My tank is on average 25 degrees.

Somebody told me that Oprah had a show about home security a couple years ago. The security expert said that small dogs are the best watchdogs and most burglars steer clear of houses with small dogs. WHy? I think I know why.

i just got her from puppyfind but we only have her puppyfind pics =-( and her eyes dont look like that now they are all cleaned up

My five-year-old is a huge animal lover, so when he came across a street cat he was more than happy to carry it around and play with it for a while. I found out about it only as he tried to sneak it into his bedroom. He has seen this cat again and insists on playing with it. Well, now I, overreacting parent that I am, wonder what the chances are of him getting sick from this cat. Also, needless to say, he now wants us to own a cat (we already own a dog), but I'm not at all familiar with the hygiene issues involved. Could this cat make him sick? Is a cat a convenient (health-wise) pet for a kid?

I just got a 6 month old kitten, and she is a little devil.

I know that kittens can be evil by default, but do they usually grow out of it when they get older?

We give her lots of love (when she wants it)... if we try to pet her when she doesn't want us to, or take her out of a room she's not supposed to be in, she latches onto our hand/arm/closest-body-part and bites down and doesn't let go.

We do plan on getting her declawed once our dog learns not to mess with her, but will she ever stop biting and scratching us for no reason?

i have a betta fish in a small container. i try to change its water every 2 weeks, but it got a small white dot on its face. this has happened before, and i changed its water right after i noticed it and it went away, but it came back. i dont live by a pet store and would have to go far away to get medicine for it, but i heard it was good to put a little bit of salt in the water. should i?

My dog is terrified of thunder. He shakes and pants HORRIBLY to a point where he could give himself a heart attach. I don't know what to do, suggestions? Also, we live in FLORIDA. The thunder & lightning CAPITAL!!!

My blue hippo tang has some scratches on its right side and theyre red. Shes very active and swims good and eats like a beast. But i just realized she has scratches on her side that are red. She doesnt have ich or anything but she kisses the rocks alot. I need help what can i do?????

I know I can't put males together, but apparently males pick on females and females pick on females too. Can I put one male and one female together in a community tank (15gallons) without a problem? How about only females?

Must be a certain color. Older than 6 months is too old. 5 lbs max. Why have these Hollywood PopTarts turned dogs into accessories and what in holy hell can be done about it?

PS: I think both Paris and Brit should be spayed, BTW- Brit's recent behavior in ALLOWING her schizo ex-husband to win her kids just proves it....

But back to the question. How can we stop the influence of these people on the pet world?

i had 4 tigerbarbs( 2 green and 2 regular) and 1 paradise fish .. one day i found one of the green tiger barbs eye was missing and one green tigerbarb was missing. the 2 green tigers were quite smaller than the other 2. what is the most likely story as to what would of happend? the paradise fish was also much larger than the green tigerbarbs

Need tips that worked for you in retraining. This is the 2nd dog I rescued from pound as abused. With 1st, it took time but I won it over by entering its world until it realized I wasn't going to beat. New one is tougher case, standard poodle, seems to have given up on every thing and every one, just lies under kitchen table, will go get food and water in kitchen but not much. Have tried same strategies, hasn't worked. If you've tried and worked, I'd like to know how to get this dog to do as well as the 1st. Presence of 1st doesn't seem to matter.

I wondered (after reading about somebody wanting horse steaks) why do people have a problem with eating animals (like horses) that we normally consider pets? Why is it we can eat deer and turkey, but not horses and, say, parrots or canarys? My dad always tells me that Chinese chefs (in China) put dogs in their food, I don't know if thats true but the idea is very repulsive to me. Also a lady in our town ate a cat and of course she was fined for animal abuse, but I'm sure people in other countries eat cats and don't think twice. I hope you all can understand what my question is and I hope I'm not "rambling".
