I'm having trouble keeping my puppy in an enclosed area. She cry's for 30 minutes then calms down for a bit then starts up again. Is there anything I can put in her crate, play pen or a locked room to calm her down? I tried her favorite chew toy, food, a warm blanket and a heat pack but nothings worked. Help me I need some sleep.

I have two turtles the oldest one has a shell thats basically all white. my parents dont have time to bring them to the vet, what should i do?should i go to walmart and just buy some kind of medical treatment for it?is it shell rot?can someone please help me?!i need help ASAP!

body protecters for jumping? i dont wear one at the moment, but i fell quite badly recently, and wondered if this might be a good idea. some people say they increase the risk of falling in the first place (by limiting jumping position), and leave bruises in minor falls. what do you think weighing up the risks?

Ok, so i'm not really a cat lover, but this cat kept comin into my garden, its a stray, but it's the cutest cat i ever seen, it took weeks though before he'd even come near me, even while i was feeding him tuna everyday, so now he basically lives with me, he lets me pick him up and stuff, and he's really affectionate etc... but when i try to bath him, he wont have it, turns nasty on me, thing is he has fleas, any ideas??

He had a stroke when he was only like four and his face has been lopsided since then, and when i woke up today, he had thrown up and the other side of his face was really droopy, and he was totally out of it..

my dad says he's been lethargic all day and hasn't been able to keep anything down, including his thyroid medication.

I'm too young to drive, but I might be able to get my mom to come home from work to take me to the vet today if it's really serious. I'm really worried about him and everyone is saying just to wait until tomorrow, but I don't want him to die! :[ Will he get worse if we wait? Should I just take him today?

Hello. My husband and I are both animal lovers, and want to get a dog! We just are not sure what kind to get, because we have a 1 year old daughter. If you have any ideas of kinds of dogs, that are kid-friendly and not too much trouble to take care of, they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I am getting an awesome Bully, and in a few years I plan on breeding him to improve the breed. Of course I will keep up to date on shots, exams, heartgard, etc. But what else when he gets older? What screenings? Please tell me anything I should know. Thanks, God bless.

Let me just summarize this. I'm 16 and my 3 yr old Shiba Inu was struct by lightning three months ago. I miss her dearly and i miss having a little dog running around. Right now im stuck between my feelings and everything. On one hand I want another little puppy running around, but at the same time i feel guilty and am afraid that this new dog will erase the memories i have of her. If you havent guessed already, she was my first dog to die and i just dont know what to do. Also I love shibas but im afraid of getting another one. And also if I get a different breed i feel ill replace her like i have a new favorite breed. What should i do?

He is 3 yo sheltie. Has started grabbing anything from the counter / table and ate them with our 16 yo lab. I went out for an hr n came home seeing they hv got to the table n ate 4 pkts of instant noodles.

He is becoming more uncontrollable ... always looking for stuffs when no one is at home. We hv never had dogs that behave this way.

They are loving dogs but their behavior is unacceptable. What wld you do?

or does there have to be something wrong with it? I know someone with a really old dog who has arthritis in the hips, but thats about it. It's just caused by old age... The dog also has started going to the bathroom in the house b/c I guess it has a weak bladder due to the old age (does not have a bladder infection). I know his dog is ruining the carpets and he gets no sleep b/c he's up all night taking the dog out to go to the bathroom all the time. Are you allowed to just put the dog to sleep b/c it's getting old?

I have a painted turtle and I would like to clean her shell but I'm afraid I might damage it. What are the supplies you need and the correct way to effectively clean her shell? It doesn't look like it's rotting, just mabye some leftover food that somehow got on her shell. I afraid to take a toothbrush to it because i'm afraid it will hurt her...PLEASE HELP!

Myself and my partner work full time, but we would really like to get a labrador puppy.
I would be going to work at 8, home for lunch (for 45 min, only work 5min away) and back at 5 from work.
My partner works shift, either 6am-2pm or 10am-6pm.
He would also be home at 1:30 (for lunch) if he was on a late shift.
Would it be fair to get a puppy, I have half the people I speak to say it would be ok, need to spend lots of time training, other people say no way!! We would be inclined to use a crate, as I am told it is a very usful tool (for both puppy and furniture) if used correctly.
Im a little confused??!!

My hammie is missing. We already put the food and water out for her yesterday. We know she at the back at the house thats where all the poop is. We even put food outside in the garden incase she slipped through the door. Why didnt she come out last night????? Is she stuck somewhere??? Is she scared??? Or did we not hear her get the food. Please help me find out what to do....

Whats the best way to give the puppy a bath and someoen mentioned there is parts of there body that cant get wet? Please explain.....

Also, is wellness canned dog food good for a puppy... Someone said it causes diariah.. does it?
