Just wondering because my dogs definately prefer green toys, or greenies as I call them. Does this mean dogs are not colour blind then?

From the research I've done on this, pretty much everything has said that dogs see much like a person with red-green colorblindness.
Dogs can see the color blue best.
They see colors more muted than we do.
As for your dogs preferring green toys, is there maybe something else similar between the toys that makes the dogs like them more?

.Dogs can definitely see colour. My dog barks at the dustmens lime green jackets, and the lollipoplady`s green coat. Other work uniforms he ignores. He also barks at the trolley for the local free paper which is florescent orange.
But does not make any noise for shopping trolleys.

I always wondered tis too. My dog has always loved soccer balls. I actually painted a soccer ball various colors once but my dog went right to the one that was plain black and white. I don't know why but my othr dog, a dachsund, loves REALLY colorful toys rather than plain ones.

In any given situation, focus on what you do want your dog to do instead of on whatever he’s doing wrong. Learn how to train your dog https://tr.im/byqI8

For example, suppose that on many evenings, your young dog gets busy looking for trouble just as you’re digesting your dinner. He grabs a boot from the mat by the front door and gallops through the house with it. You yell at him and take it away. He grabs its mate. You yell and take it away. He heads for the kitchen and starts checking out the counters in case something tasty’s been left behind. You chase him away. And on and on, until you’ve lost your temper and torn out clumps of hair you can ill afford to lose.

They are not colour blind. However, my girl usually prefers the filthiest toys around.

No.
They don't have colour vision. They prefer the toys which smell the best, which make the best noise and are most chewable!

Who knows? It might be that in your particular area with your particular light, green stands out for your dog.

Dogs aren't colour blind, though. They just see red, orange as yellow.

Just shape and feel. She loves her teddy bear, but hates hard toys

No, she just likes things to chew on.
I just get her pink things though. She's a black lab and everyone assumes it's a boy, so she is surrounded by pink. And some people still don't get it.

Nope - dog doesn't care. What ever squeaks, rolls, or looks like a dog.
