I'm having trouble keeping my puppy in an enclosed area. She cry's for 30 minutes then calms down for a bit then starts up again. Is there anything I can put in her crate, play pen or a locked room to calm her down? I tried her favorite chew toy, food, a warm blanket and a heat pack but nothings worked. Help me I need some sleep.

Move her crate or box to your bedroom. Letting the dog into your "den" is a great way to bond with your dog, and provides comfort.

You didn't say how old she is...
or how long you've had her...
or what breed of dog she is
or if you play with her and she only whines when you put her in an enclosed area.

young pups when they first go to their new home will be very lonesome for their litter mates. I always find all my old worn socks and socks with holes, pick the best one and stuff all the other socks in it. If some of the socks have your odor, so much the better.

BUT... if the pup cries even when free and able to play with you, then you should take it to a vet.

... and if you aren't giving the pup enough attention, it may well feel abandoned and trying to get some loving...

...or... if it's one of the hypersensitive breeds, they can tend to be really whiney...

A lot of what to do depends on the breed and if this is just at night or all the time, and if you've made sure she is not injured. I really can't tell which situation it is from your comments.

It's only because it just found out it was a Morkie and that that is just an overpriced mutt.

Try putting one of your worn T shirts in her crate. She will smell you and may make her feel more at ease.

She is maybe too young, and you aren't giving her enough chance to get out.. Maybe you keep talking to her and teaching her that she does have a chance to break out..

Or what you want to hear..

She'll grow out of it.. Lots of hugs and kisses and she'll be fine.

Just put her in the bed with you. She will snuggle up and go to sleep. My pit bull sleeps with me he always has. Remember, she is used to body heat from her pack, and you are her pack now!
