Must be a certain color. Older than 6 months is too old. 5 lbs max. Why have these Hollywood PopTarts turned dogs into accessories and what in holy hell can be done about it?

PS: I think both Paris and Brit should be spayed, BTW- Brit's recent behavior in ALLOWING her schizo ex-husband to win her kids just proves it....

But back to the question. How can we stop the influence of these people on the pet world?

Art, as always, awesome...

King Toot, or whatever- aren't your people CAT worshippers? And I'm not against little dogs. I'm against ANY animal being used as a FASHION statement- Go buy the BMW if you want to make a statement- not an innocent life!

Idiocy and the tendency to follow like sheep to the slaughter are common these days.

The ability to think for oneself, to have the will and tenacity to do one's own research and to stand on one's own feet (as well as one's own principles) has fallen out of fashion. It is the age of the professional victim... or helpless idiot waif.

The way to decrease the influence is to actually spend time talking to young people.. encouraging thought and expression. Seriously, its the REBELS that are going to be our only hope.

I'm not sure what can done about it except to be very vocal about the damage and educate the public that their pet's personality and health is what's important. Color and age are negotible. At the humane society where I volunteer, it's horrible how many people won't even consider an older dog or a big black dog even though it' s a perfect match except that's it's not a puppy or flashy in coloration. I agree that both of them should be spayed. They should also be taken to a shelter to be shown all the pets that will die because of their crazy fashion sense. Then they should be taken to a puppy mill and be shown exactly what kind of operation they are supporting by buying their puppies at pet stores instead of getting them from a reputable breeder or from a shelter. Maybe then we can end the madness.

You seriously need a star!
No other words could describe it!
From the fact that people are buying the hand bag before they get the dog and to not be buying supplies the dog needs. I think its more of Paris fault but brit too. Brittany does not even take care of her kids let along take care of two sweet innocent dogs. Knowing that Nicole Richie is pregnant imagine what that'll do! Im appalled that they have turned the dogs into fashion accessories and that paris has gave the Chihuahua a bad label THANKS TO HER.

That's a bit annoying....I dealt a little with that on color when I was breeding cocker spaniels...everyone wanted a buff female...like Lady on Lady and the Tramp. I usually had black litters...it was hard to convince people that the color shouldn't matter...I mean some people would say..."but I have light carpet..you can see black hair in light carpet".....I'd say..."so, just cause the hair doesn't show in your carpet doesn't mean you won't have hair to vacuum...geez! Same with sex...males can make just as good of pets as females. This lady sounded like she was looking for a dog like Paris and Brittany used as an accessory. Then, when they were sick of them...they got rid of them. Really sad.

I'm not sure what we can do to stop the influence of these people...our kids still think they are "all that" , But, I think most people think these two are losers.

To the brit and her ex hubby getting the kids...I think they will be better off..she is not right. some of the stuff she has done.

ok that said there has always been a problem with what is on tv and what more people want....have u seen the previews for 'fire house dog' its an irish terrier...those will be next.
like the dalmatian,
cocker spaniels from lady and the tramp.
winn-dixie i forget the breed(rare) she was..but now that people know of it they ask for it.

how any one can follow an animal fad is beyond me. it like "AS SEEN ON TV" crap. never works the way u see it on tv does it?

yes they should be spayed...along with a few others...and even some people i know! lol.

to stop the influence I'm not sure...drag their rich @ss to the animal shelter (if paris even has a clue what one is)....show them the 'dogs' they are killing cause its cool..or hot...

karma can a ***** i like to stay outta her way=)

i think its ridiculous for what they do and ridiculous for people to follow.
Can you believe this? I stumbled upon a website the other day selling chihuahuas and mixes related to Paris's dogs .Guess how much the cheapest one was ? $5000 and the prices went up to $29,000 .And im talking mixes that are barely related to tinkerbell or whatever paris's dog is called and have no health gurantee. One thing is sure all that "breeder" wants is money .and she probably earns a lot because people will buy into the whole teacup dog and its even better since its related to a celebritiy.Give me a break.
I could buy a car for that abbout of money or do something good to help animals, not buy a mutt and support unhealthy dogs from back yard breeders.

Educate our kids. And, don't give in when your 17 year old daughter thinks it will be great fun to get one of those cute little puppies to carry around in a bag. Cause guess what... they will get tired of the dog and not take care of it in a few months, and then guess who has too.... mom and dad!

The last thing that parents need to do is to just blow off or ignore all that is going on with the "poptarts" of hollywood, they are much more of an influence on our teenagers then we think.

There's no way to stop these celebrities, unless they go through some educational courses about animals. Apparently, Paris and Brit do not know about puppy mills since they buy their dogs from pet stores.

Sometimes I think Hollywood & movies are the worst influences on the pet world.

Right now, everyone wants tiny chihuahuas to be like Paris and Britney.

When "Finding Nemo" came out, there was a huge increase in the number of clown fish sold. Typically, to first-time fish owners that were trying to keep them alive in a 5 gallon tank because their child wanted a "nemo fish".

When "101 Dalmations" came out, everyone wanted a Dalmation.

When "Men in Black" came out, everyone wanted a Pug.

It's sad...

properly truthfully, no, they do no longer look to be stable function fashions. there are various many different females accessible who would be magnificent function fashions for her. the element to look at is to be conscious her character and what she likes and the flaws she likes to be or maybe what she desires to be while she "improve's up". Then pin factor some women human beings in those areas and coach her the effective sides of them and what they're doing that are greater applicable the ladies people who complication approximately trend, exposure and so on..stable success
