If your tank is 25 degrees on average, that's the reason why they aren't having babies. The tank should be 80 degrees on average. Sometimes it takes female guppies longer then average to have babies.

Perhaps babies were born but gotten eaten or sucked into the filter. Provide plenty of plants for the babies to hide in and cover the filter with a piece of pantyhose and secure with an elastic (this will prevent the babies from getting sucked into the filter). You can also put very pregnant female guppies into a separate tank to give birth and take her out when she's had them.

Here are some signs to help you identify a very pregnant guppy:

-You can tell if one of your guppies will have babies soon because it's stomach will be large and square and it's gravid spot will be dark.

-It will hide in plants and accessories.

-Pace up and down the sides of the tank.

-Not eat or spit out it's food.

It can take a while if the fish you start with are young. I bought a trio in January and didn't get fry until April.

It may also make a difference if your fish were separated into separate tanks of males and females at your store. In mixed tanks, guppies are usually pregnant when you buy them. If they're separated, it can take a few days for them to become pregnant, and even adult females can take 28 days or longer to drop fry.

Part of the length of time it actually takes is providing the proper environment. Fish that are stressed for any reason are more likely to try and hold onto the fry for as long as possible before they give birth. Use a lot of plants in your tank (real or fake) so the female has a place to hide and when the fry can hide as well. If the female feels secure herself, and the fry have a place where they can hide out from the other adults, you might find yourself having to get a larger tank before long.

Several factors.

Water temp. should be moderate, fluctuating no more than 65 degrees to 78 degrees.

Water should contain some salt. For a twenty gallon tank, you need a teaspoon full of sea salt (they sell it in Pet Shops).

Appearance of females...are they looking fat and heavy?

If not, they aren't pregnant.

Guppies are realtively easy to raise, but they need a consistent environment that is usually balanced.

NEVER overfeed!

Feed should be once per day, and very little.

It is hoped you have some algea growing in the tank which will keep them always fed enough.

I'm assuming this is 25 degrees Celsius. In terms of Fahrenheit, your tank is around 77 degrees and just fine for your guppies. Just be patient.

Guppies breed when the warmer seasons come so turn up the heat on your tank to simulate the warm weather and the guppies will think that it is time to mate.
