The American breeder i bought an Al Mal from (for $2000) told me to pin the nose and make the Mal lie flat if it tries to be dominant & growl at me or anyone. I saw her do this with a huge 4 year old male, she did it with ease but ................

Is this something alot of Malamute owners do? I know they suffer from establishing the top pack position via dominance but is this counter productive or fueling feelings of striving to be pack leader more so.

Any experience of this anyone?

i am a single mum with 2 cats and a dog i get plagued with fleas ever year and im finding it costly using frontline and carpet sprays not only that the last course of frontline i had didn't work and im at my wits end! my sons gettin bitten every night and so am i, i boil wash all the bedding and hoover every day and empty hoover bags, only to find there still on the animals, my vet said it doesn't matter how well i treat the house they can pick them up from outside, any ideas?

My cat is sick (vet thinks cancer or non-effusive FIP) and I know what it entails for him but we're hoping for the best. Anyways what can I do right now to help him with his dry paws so he doesn't slip and slide while walking on hard surfaces? Can I dab diluted olive or vegetable oil on them?

And any other advice, comments, etc... is appreciated.

My dog is about 8 years old and is not doing well, She can not walk to use the rest room at this point, i have to carry her up and down stairs, she then walks for a sec or two uses bathroom then sits. her wrists have started to breakdown. She only eats if i place wet food infront of her at thispoint and never has a good stool. She also can hide under the bed till get her out up to 24 hrs at a time with no desire on her own to go eat or drink. The hartbreaking thing for me is she is aware of who i am and even enteracts with her eyes and little moans..... what do do...? ita ahard decision.

Preferably in Baton Rouge but surrounding areas is fine too. I have a friend who recently lost her kitten to cancer so I'm getting her a new one for her birthday November 16th (I know I'm kinda far but I want to make sure its a great kitten). Her old one was REALLY mean. I'm gonna look I'm newspapers but I was asking if there are any other places I could look?

I want to put rock in my fish tank so my fish can swin around then. I have a 38 gal. and i know i need like 30 lbs. of gravel. But i want to add like 50 to 60 lbs. of big rocks as well. is that going to be to much?

Alright, I got a male betta for my 1 gallon tank (good thing is the betta came in the day before i bought it so it wasnt sitting around in the store tooo long) The colors are amazing!! It has like every color of the rainbow in him seriously! I can see purple, green, red, blue, teal, orangish. Its soo cute (i acutally thought it was blue but oh well i dont care i love it!) It is still a smaller sized betta but I named him Titan. I bought 2 kinds of food for him and medicine just in case he gets sick. I tried to feed him this morning but with no luck. It is Hikari Bio-Gold Betta food, and also TopFin freeze dried bloodworms. I guess ill try a little again later?? I dechlorinated the water dont worry I used Prime (always do). I was wondering when i go next weekend to clean it how should i do it and where should i put him? I kept the cup he was in from the store (its bigger than those little ones walmart sells okay so dont be mad -suggestion!) --I will say more in the next.

I have a 2-year old dog who has only ever pooped and peed in our yard. About three months ago, I put her in a kennel and doggy daycare for the only time over a weekend and now she has started pooping on our walks. She's trained to go on voice command in the yard and is routinely taken outside. Her walks are always in the morning and her routine is breakfast, pee and poop in the yard, then a walk. She's walked on the road, not on grass, but she'll still try to poop when we're walking. She has never peed on a walk. If I'm able to stop her by saying "no" and running about 20 steps, then take her home and put her in the yard, she won't go. I'm not sure how to get her to stop. I believe this is because she was able to pee and poop wherever and whenever she wanted at doggy daycare. I like taking her for really long walks in our neighborhood, but don't want to be carrying feces with me. She's on a premium dog food she's had all her life and otherwise predictably pees and poops. Help!

I have a friend that is breaking up with her boyfriend and he will be moving out very soon. A few years ago she gave hom a dog as a gift, but she has been the one to raise him and he is bonded to her a lot more then to him.

She believes he will be moving half way across the country and is afaid that he will take the dog just out of spite. He likes the dog and all, but is not as involved as she is.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but is is really weighing on her.

I think that she said that her name was on the papers and they had his added to it (so both of their names are one them).

Can anyone give me some advice to give her about what she can do to keep the dog legally?

i am a breeder
and we have breeded my one male rabbit , cassie three times
and we havent breed him in a while
about a monht ago
i noticed
his teeth were overlappiing
and were realy messed up
and his eye is all like runny
we took him to the vet he got his teeth clipped and the one tooth just fell out
then she gave a drops for his eyes
the runny eye comes and goes
the a few weeks ago i noticed he started to get a runny nose
he one tooth grow back and there still crooked
were gunna take him back to the vet soon.
i ran out of eye drops for him.
he is a lionhead rabbit. he lives with 2 other rabbits
he's two sons out of alot
dippen and dot:D

Do you know what my rabbit casey has?
can he get better?
its been a few months know.

my cat has had fleas for all of the summer. we have put a collar on him and washed him several times. we have even set up a flea trap in our living room. we vaccummed our house and we picked up all of the cloth on the floors! my cat is going insane! he runs around the house with big eyes and jumps from couch to table and freaks out! i think he is trying to get rid of the fleas, but i don't know. he's been acting so weird and cries all the time! he doesn't even want to come inside anymore! we don't know what to do! can someone please help me?

i have two australian shepards and they are unfriendly to mostly dogs, is it possible to make them sociable to dogs? and when i take them on a walk sometimes they nip people on their ankles and other times they dont... why is this?

Two days ago I had extremely helpful answers to my question about African Greys. Today please tell me about cages:
(1) What size cage ? -- Is it important for the bird to be able to flap his wings whilst inside the cage and as thef AG's wingspan being about 80 cm, should not the cage's width be at least 80 cms that in width ?
(2) Is there a trusted brand of cage makers we should go for ?
Anything else about cages you could advise me about ?
The bird will spend as much time as we can outside the cage

ok my mom is a dog breeder/ bed and brekfast owner ok... and this one dog, Tinkerbell who we have been waiting to come into season, just wont!!! its like been 1 1/2 years, my mom is just about to open the bed and brekfast and today our english bulldog, Tinkerbell, came into season! My mom is not shure wether she should breed or not but i really want her to, i know right now your thinking she is that adult she should decide but i have helped her with every litter of puppies we have had, I have saved 2 puppies, 1 was drownding at my friends house in her pool and the other was one puppy we had, she had milk coming out of her nose and couldnt breathe and i got it out!!!! I am responsable enought to take care of them, I AM!!!!

i have 2 cats. They keep shedding and I'm at my wits end with all the variety in Singapore! Could you guys please help me with this? I just wanna get both dry and wet food that will stop them from shedding. I'm thinking of chicken soup for the cat lovers soul, felidae, innova evo and avoderm... I opened the gait yesterday while I was home and he split within about 3 minutes. I always water him and feed him in the morning, and he hangs out in the yard and eats then we usually head for a walk on a leash and on Saturdays he gets a bath. Not yesterday. He disappeared and I searched everywhere for him. I called the neighbors and notified everyone I was hunting for my dog. I even called the local grocer to let them know he disappeared. I took my truck to his favorite swimming holes and he was just gone.
Finally last nite, I called the police and they said he was turned in at about 4 pm. He is in the pound. What do I have to do to get him back? He is tagged.. No one called
