Today a dog ripped my lambs stomach open. My dad went out there to sew it up. Now, we are wondering if any of you know if she will live. She was dripping blood so we think that she might have internal injuries. She will not move one of her back legs. We think she does not have her teets anymore. We are scared. If you need to, you can email me. abbeyadelia@yahoo.com
We need your help!
Thank You!
Abbey

I am beginner fish caretaker (and lazy and busy and stupid). Thusly, I have not cleaned the tank in a while and two of my fish died (I think due to the uncleanliness). As I proceeded to scoop the dead fish from the tank, I realized that one of the dead fish was only HALF A DEAD FISH.

I know that fishfood is fish, but seeing this half of a dead fish grossed me out! So I was wondering, is there such a thing as vegeterian fish food, and if so where can I buy it? Or can I feed my fish lettuce or carrots or something?

Also, the two dead fish were stuck to this tube thing that goes down into the aquarium. What does this mean? Perhaps, as my mom said, they died and floated to the top, but the tube part suctioned them back down, where they stuck (and the other fish proceeded to make a meal out of the dead fish! *shudder*). The grossness of the fish carnivorism has almost turned me off of fish as pets altogether; I myself am a vegetarian, so I cannot relate to eating animals.

How do I keep them from chewing on anything for that matter? They chew on my flipflops, they chewed the antenna off of my alarm clock radio, and just a few minutes ago I found that they chewed on an expensive pair of earphones. The only thing I can think to do is lock them away from everything with just their food, water, litter, and each other but if I have to do that, what is the point of having kittens. It'd be one thing if I could catch them doing it, but I can't. They are so destructive! They also wont quit getting up on the counter and destroying things. (They just broke a very expensive crystal vase that I recieved as a wedding gift) I've tried the water approach but it only works for a couple of minutes. Any suggestions?

My cat's ears have gotten pink recently and I noticed a sore on the outside of one of her ears, which seems to have healed. Do I need to take her to the vet, and does anyone know why this happens to an indoor cat?
Thanks in advance for any helpful answers.

we use frontline, and put it on the first day of the month.. so due for next applicaion tomorrow...she has dry skin and ocassional itchy from it... never seen a flea, and beleive me i check often..

well the last week i notice she is itching a bit more, today i see a flea... i give an oatmeal flea bath, and find several, but no flea dirt...

so i assume these are new fleas, she has recently been exposed or picked them up....BUT, i thought FRONTLINE was supposed to prevent this...and work for 30 days..
does it stop working or lose effectiveness after only a few weeks?? it is supposed to be waterproof as well...

was i misinformed about this product?? sorry so long, but i am interested in your experience with this product... thanks..

I'm Getting A New Kitten Tomorrow.
I Was Thinking About Naming It Atreyu.
But I Want A Cool Middle Name To Go With It.
So I Can Call It By It's First And Middle Name.
Like My Sister Is Naming Hers Benji Grey.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.

I have two love birds that my boyfriend and i share responsibility for. we got them 8-10 months ago and he had them at his house for several months before we decided to move them here to my house. They have been amazing but are still scared of us when we approach the cage or clean it out. ive heard its bad to clip wings but also that its good? I would love for them to let me hold them but dont really know much. also they have been behaving differently lately, like feeding each other, being more noisy and agressive with each other (not necessarily mean) and another thing that makes me giggle is that the male will tease my dauschaund and my cat through the bars of the cage. what does all of this mean?..i ultimately would like to train them and have them be able to sit with me and not be in the cage all the time

I made my husband a glass of chocolate milk with nestles chocolate powder mix. We left the living room for about 5 minutes to put up halloween decorations and came back to see that an inch of his glass was missing. I'm worried that he might get very sick tonight. Is there a posion control type number for animals? Should we take him to an emergency vets office? Anyone have any answers?

I personally think that if it is a indoor cat it's ok, because it will never need it's claws to fight. However, witha outdoor cat they need claws to protect themselves. What do you think?

I just got a kitten that is 10 weeks old. He's been at my apartment for 3 days now and I just found a flea on him. After further inspection it turns out he has a bunch.

I purchased flea shampoo and shampooed him twice.

After the first bath some were still alive, so I did it again, not sure if any are stil alive on him.

My question is, what is the best method of removing the fleas from my kitten, and more importantly, is my apartment now going to be infested?

He has been running around on the carpeting for the past two days, but I think he may have gotten the fleas just earlier today when i brought him to my girlfriends house (there is a dog and another cat there).

I have an uneutered male 5 yr old APBT. The dog is unbelieveably smart..knows well over 100 words. My problem is he continually marks in my house!! HE KNOWS NOT TO DO THIS....as soon as I go near his mess he clearly exhibits behavior of this is wrong..I don't have to say anything. Besides which he can say yes and no (indicated by giving me his paw unto a yes or no hand of mine) and clearly he knows he's not suppopsed to do this. The problem is when I leave the house he marks on the garbage pails in the house. I've tried reprimanding, yelling, hitting, locking away, putting in cage (he destroyed the 200 dollar indestructible cage, BTW)...he is miserable at these disciplinary methods, and so am I!!! Yet they don't seem to prevent the same behavior in the next time. It's too late for a simple neutering solution. I'm at my wits end...I need a really professional dog expert here. What can I do to stop this behavior of 5 years?

I want to get a bottom feeder, but I want one that will look good! (i.e. no plecos....) It would need to be something that will eat leftoever food. I don't have any algae growth in my tank and I don't have live plants. And it's only a 10 gallon tank, so nothing too big.

I haven't seen any other fleas since it but my cat has lots of flea dirt on him (thats what I have heard it called..I think its flea poop). Whatever the case may be..is it possible the cat had one flea and that is case closed. Is this flea dirt something bad besides just being dirty. Whats the deal here? My cat is an inside cat so this flea must have just snuck in on a shoe or something. What do I do give him a bath (which should be tons of fun)?

ive posted a few questions as to breed/s of my new puppy. there has been a quite disparate reponse over the last month or so, a few(most) saying he is a jack russell, pit etc . he is now 18 pounds and 3.5 mths old. he has grown. surely he is not a JRT, he is too big. vet isnt sure about this.experts, dog lovers out there let me know what u think. just curious and its a bit of fun watching your puppy grow up. i would have thought that he will at least double in size when fully grown. he is dearly loved.see some new updated pictures here at:

This brown and white dog is my "Orphan" Annie. A few months ago, she was homeless until she found me. I'm not sure of her breed so I've put her in a class of her own. I call Annie my All - American Full Blooded Mixed Breed... LOL!
She has several black spots on her belly, if that helps.
She's also extremely hyper. She meets most of the characteristics of a JRT but I still believe I see a hint of beagle in her face. Right now, she is 17 pounds... So what do you all think???
