YUCK YUCK AND MORE YUCK! Yes, this is a self glorified puppy mill. The pictures on the site make it look so glamorous. The place is likely a pure doggy helll hole.
Very sad. Commercial breeding is wrong on so many levels.

Another search for this kennel brings the truth.

Laughlin Kennel gave me a piece of paper from their vet, Cheryl Crecelius,DVM claiming the pup was in excellent help, free of illness, diease and any physical abnormalities. The breeder, Kathy Bauck sent a piece of paper saying the pup received all her shots and deworming she did herself. When I called her for proof of document, she said she can't do that. She wanted my vet to call her and she will tell her that she gave the pups the shots. She will not send proof. The day we brought the puppy home we realized right away something was wrong. She could not see, walking into things, vomit, diarrhea and lethargic. We have brought the pup to two vets and she is on antibiotics, on going visits to the vet for more treatments and testing. Right now her prognosis is Fair, we are still trying to nurse her back to good to excellent. We are learning how to accomadate to a blind pup and seems she is adapting well to that.

Details: From Veterinary report: Significant degree of hip dysplasia whereby the hip joints are partially dislocated causing her to have difficulty in arising and walking. Her patillas are stable. She does have a lack of normal angulation of her hocks. This often accompanies hip dysplasia. At this time it may be that total hip replacement could be an option to be considered. Some surgeons may be hesitant to operate on her at this age (1 year 2 months) because of her hock angulation.

Note from Owner: Born with an umbilical hernia that was repaired..she had tracheobronchitis 5 times during her stay at pet store from 9/2/05 to 10/28/05.

Anybody offering only a 14 day health guarantee with an option to BUY an additional 2 year guarantee is a Puppymill...

Watch this video - It'll break your heart...

Don't buy from them - Find a reputalble breeder in your area - Go visit them, meet their dogs and puppies, see where the dogs live, review their contract and then decide if you want to buy a puppy from them

Well while quality breeders often do have more than one breed they are working on it is quite rare to be more than two breeds. It is also not uncommon for a quality breeder to have "access" to other breeds via other quality breeders they may know through showing that they can put you in contact with, However to specialize is so many different breeds as well as "designer" mutts that is a real red flag to me. They offer a health guarantee which is VERY unlike a puppymill however the only way to know is to go and check out the facility yourself.

I would be interested in knowing a bit more about this place before I would get a puppy there. I know that reputable breeders are more than happy to show you the puppy's parents, even its grandparents, and its lineage. They also want you to be able to tour the place and see the kennels. If a breeder isn't willing to do all those things, then walk away as quickly as you can. Otherwise, you will end up with a very sick puppy with all sorts of defects that will cost you plenty in veterinary bills.

Run away! Run FAR away! Yeah, that place is bad news. They breed 6 breeds, and are brokers for countless others? And the heading "Bargain Puppies" in the sidebar ... wow, that's all I needed to see!

You really don't want to do business with that operation, it definitely sounds like a puppymill to me.

big time puppymill, and if they don't breed the they broker them. SICK, money grubbers. did you see the credit card logos on the bottom of their page??

makes me want to hurl.....THEY HAVE A BARGAIN puppy page, the dog's eyes tell it all... arrrraggghhh! I am probably not going to sleep well tonight unless I can get this out of my head...grrrrrrr I cannot stand puppy brokers and mills....it's one thing to breed your dog because you are ignorant and want to have puppies but another thing to purposely breed a dog for money... barf.

bigdogkennel is an "alleged" rottie puppymill, too bad I can't post the pics that were sent to me on this place, too. The BIG clues to that one are they breed for size, not standard, size! and the pics are horrid, heartbreaking and just plain sad.

Check with the American Kennel Association to see if they are registered with them.

Most reliable kennels or breeders will concentrate on no more that three or four breeds in order to have more control over the health and breeding conditions

I have never seen this particular kennel listed in the Dog Fancy magazines, and they are a reputable resource. Some of the "designer cross" are not registered breeds which causes me to question the whole set up.

You would be a lot safer if you went to a local shelter and adopted a pet that really needs a home.
