I want to get a bottom feeder, but I want one that will look good! (i.e. no plecos....) It would need to be something that will eat leftoever food. I don't have any algae growth in my tank and I don't have live plants. And it's only a 10 gallon tank, so nothing too big.

If you like something small then corydoras are the ones you should be looking for, there are several species to choose from and all of them grows to around 2 inches and most are hardy, perfect for for a 10 gallon tank.

Ones that would stay small are otocinclus catfish and corydoras cats. These only get about 2 inches long if you go with a dwarf cory. Both species should be kept in groups of 3+ though, so make sure you have enough room to keep that many. The otos are more herbivorous, so you might need to supplement their diet with algae pellets (and other fish will eat those too). The corys will eat just about anything, but would love to have frozen bloodworms as ocassional treats.

There are some dwarf loaches as well, and these should also be kept in 3s.

Get clown loaches. Any loach will eat leftover food, but the clowns are by far the prettiest. They'll grow, but not too fast. I've got a clown loach I've had for nearly 8 years and it's about 3 inches long. I've also got two I've only had for about a year and they're still small -- about an inch.

Look at a small school of Panda Corys, they're small and attractive.
As far as your statement about Plecos being unattractive,I suggest you look up Mango Plecos or Sunrise Plecos Or Zebra Plecos. There are literally dozens of new and very colorful fish in the Ancistris Family.
