I had sea monkeys back in 2000 when I was like 12 or 13 it was just a little kit with a container that had a glow in the dark ship & a night light @ the top.

They sell them in Target. It comes with the eggs, water conditioner, food and stirer. That's all you need really. You can get fancy, but IMO it makes no difference. We've had ours for almost a year, and the reproduce and multiply and get really big and are really neat. I don't think the "fancier" types are any different, just advertise things that are senseless, but advertising cool things creates sales, plain and simple. It's all a selling gimick. Also, the seamonkeys ARE different then regular brine shrimp....they are a different type of brine shrimp, so hatching the brine shrimp that you can buy in the petstores are not the same, they will die before they get too big.

I hope this helps. Good luck!!! ;o)

i used that kit. they give you very easy instructions on how to hatch and harvest brine shrimp (brine shrimp and sea monkeys are the same thing). all you need is a 2 liter bottle and an air pump, and maybe some kind of heater.

or if your feeding the shrimp to somthing, you might want to try this hatch kit:

good luck!

They still sell those? I had them about 30 years ago, LOL! Sent away for them from saving Kool-Aid packets or something.
