I made home made suet for the birds. I wonder how to get them out of the muffin pens in one piece? I sprayed the button with pam spray but still they break apart when getting them out.

Line the pan cavities with foil by turning the pan upside down and then molding the foil around the outside of each individual cavity. Then simply lift off the foil cup that you have made and insert it into the righted pan cavities.
Do this individually for each cavity , instead of trying to use one big piece of foil for the whole pan. leave about 1 inch of foil sticking up so that you can simple grab the foil and lift out the suet.
Then you can simply grab the foil and tug upwards to remove the finished cake.
Peel off the foil if desired, although it is not necessary.

good luck

If you look at the way it's packaged in the stores, you don't NEED to remove it from the "mold". When I put suet in my feeders, sometimes I leave it in the tray, sometimes I take it out (depends on how warm it is outside). Make the suet cakes in something you can just sit out for the birds to eat from.

If you are you putting the muffin tins in the refrigerator or freezer, place the BOTTOM of the pan in a sink full of hot water for just a few seconds. This will melt the bottom layer enough to make them fall out when you flip it over.

lol! I have that same problem, so now I just make it in the small disposable foil pans. I put it out, pan and all, for the birds and they love it! One batch usually fills about 1/2 dozen little pans. I freeze them and thaw them one at a time, as needed.

Call the muffin man. He makes the muffin like no man can.
