your cats need a scratching post for their claws and it also signifies to others the size of the cat who made the scratches.By all means give the cat fish.

Once they start to claw at something, the put their scent on that object, and will return to it. And why they started in the first place is simply a 'cat thing'. Try to protect the area she is scratching so she cannot get at it.
Your cat may not like fresh fish. A small amount probably is all right, but remember in the wilds, if a cat catches a small fish, they eat the whole fish. That is because they need the enzymes in the fish organs. If there are any fish advisories about eating any fish in your area (like, don't eat more than three per week) it probably would not be a good idea.

By all means, get her a scratching post. Praise her for using it, cat nip and cat treats will help! Then, when she starts scratching onyour plants, spray her lightly with a water bottle. She will eventually get the message. That's how I stopped my cat from jumping on my counters and dining room table! About the fish, just make sure there are no bones in it, if she likes the fish a little probably won't hurt her, but you still have to feed her nutritious cat foods. My cat goes absolutely crazy when we bring in crab legs! My husband can't resist giving her a little, but not too much, and she is fine with it! Good Luck!

Cats will scratch anywhere they want regardless of whether or not you have a scratching post, but to stop her scratching at your plants put a little black pepper around the base of your plants it wont do the plants any harm and the smell will deter your cat without doing it any harm either. Fresh fish is great for your cat as it contains omega oils which gives them a nice healthy coat and also acts as an anti-toxant for their liver but give it to her in moderation like maybe once or twice a week as a treat. Tinned sardines in sunflower oil is my cats fav.

Does she have someplace to claw, like a clawing post or one of those boxes on the floor where they can claw cardboard?
My cat at first decided my couch was a good place to claw. So I covered the spots she enjoyed clawing with packing tape--slippery. It was no longer fun to do that. She still does it on the carpet some, when she's frustrated and trying to get my attention or not getting what she wants. Either protect your trees or put them somewhere she can't get to. Surround the trees with clear tape. Upside down. She'll leave it alone if she has to step on sticky stuff to get there.
I don't know about the fish. My cat loves tuna. But fresh fish? Uncooked? Idk.

Yeah, fish is fine, but be aware of the bones, as the user above said.. Cat's are natural hunters, so they would eat such things if they weren't a house pet. My cat tries to catch fish from our pond.
As for clawingg at your bonsai, she will probably stop it soon, but those scratching poles dont usually work. well they havent done with my three cats... she's still young so she's just playing about, maybe give her more attention.. play etc.. my cat loves chasing things.

Fish is fine for your cat as long as there are no bones in it.
Cats need to sharpen their claws on something, yours seems to be using your plants! Get her a scratching post, when you first get it rub it with cat nip so that it attracts her. Praise her when she uses the post and shout at her when she uses your plants.
Hope that helps!

Cats need a clawing post, my cat used to scratch the sofa! lol
Fish is OK to give but don't over feed him, a little while back we was giving our cat tuna every other day and he became very sick, the vet told us fish is OK but its too rich for their tummies to have everyday. So just be a little cautious of that.

i'm not sure why she would clawing your plant and tree, but i think giving her the fresh fish would be ok, as long as you make sure there aren't any bones in the meat.....
