I have a Siamese tomcat who is in denial. He was neutered (as an adult) but thinks he's still a stud cat. (Luckily he only pretends to spray--he shakes his tail at the door! LOL!) He tries to mate with females, has had a love affair with a blanket, & I have even woke up a few times and this sex maniac of a cat was sort of stomping in place on me, purring, with a major erection! At least he didn't bite my neck! But, not caring to participate, I put him on the floor. DH was freaked ( think he's jealous! LOL) but he said "At least he's not gay!"
I was at first surprised a neutered cat could get it up but people told me that is not so rare, but that they cant ejaculate. BUT one AM, vaguely half asleep, I noticed the cat stomping at the foot of the bed. Then when we awoke, there was clear liquid there on the blanket with an odd unfamiliar smell. I can't think of anything it could BE but cat semen Is that possible? He has balls that deflated after his op.Can neuters shoot blanks?

My boyfriend and I both work 8 hour days. I am home on lunch to play and let our 3 month old Australian Shepherd out. Also in the a.m. and p.m. we work him a lot. Go for walks/runs, and bring him to parks until he is pretty wore out. My question is since he is alone for almost 8 hours a day what things could keep him occupied while were gone? Toys, etc......? He is kept in doors, and right now since he is small we keep him in a large kennel and he bahves very well. But we will allow him his entire room if thats better with maybe a baby gate at the door? Opinions PLEASE!!!!

*also, i realize Aussies are working dogs and need a job, but he is not purebred he is a mix. The only thing that resembles an Aussie is his coloring, otherwise he is very petite. We adopted him because he was practically on his death bed at 6 weeks old. So PLEASE no harsh criticism on his breed because there is nothing we can do about it now. We love him dearly and want the best for him

i think my cat got a little fat so some people told me to take out food with grains to help him lose weight and some other people said wet food is good to but no by-proudcts in it. so assume that tuna for people is the best because all whats in there is tuna and water and salt so am i right is tuna better than dry meow mix indoor fourmula for weight loss because tuna has less fat content and less calories. thanks

My cat tracks his litter everywhere. Any suggestions on how to stop this or at least cut back on how much is tracked. Thanks!

In advance to the wonderful people who "don't like cats" my husband has already suggested "we could always get rid of him".
To the cat lovers; Don't be mad at my husband, he is joking, kinda.

While I'm finding much info about turtles shedding shells, nothing specific re: my baby spiny soft shell. Not sure how to determine if he's shedding or developing fungus on shell. Have provided dry basking area; he chooses not to use it, submerges body in the sand most of the time, swims occasionally. Eating well commercial pellets. No longer very shy. Just want to keep him healthy. Using water from local underground natural spring (brought up to his tank's temperature, changing about 1/3 of water every 3-4 days) "Power pusher" aerator going constantly, except at feeding time, not filtering due to sand. Just concerned about fungus, if that's what it is, don't want to let it get away from me, but also don't want to put him at risk using "adult" remedies. Any input helpful. Thanks, nan

Our dogs tongue hangs out slightly no matter what ... and that is contributing to his loose teeth. They are healthy but the gums are not. Our vet said it's common for dogs to have this problem when they are older. What should we do. Any feedback would be appreciated.

We are picking up our kittens tonight, they are 8 weeks old and there are 2. The thing is they are not completely weaned off their mum, but i am worried about keeping them where they are any longer as the owners are letting them outdoors even though they have not had there jabs yet. we know the owners. Do you think it would be ok to take them, and finishing weaning them ourselves as they are good at using the litter tray and cleaning themselve?

I'm going on a 12 hours road trip over the holidays. I travel by car. My two pugs hate traveling in the car. They would both cry for the whole 12 hours. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again. Thanks!

Our male, 6.5 year old, neutered cat is Leukemia positive (not on meds as his most recent bloodwork - less than 2 weeks ago - showed all his calcium and potassium levels to be normal) recently starting peeing in the living room.

The day after we took him to the vet, he pee'd on our dog's bed in the living room. He waited for my wife to come back after the dog's walk and for her to sit down to do it. We thought he this might be against the dog, even though the pup has been around for over a year now. So we picked up the dog's bed but he's now peeing in the same spot even though the bed has been removed.

We have not changed litter brands (he's never been picky about that) and we keep it in a closet on the 2nd floor and it's kept clean. He's still using the box, he's just doing in the living room, as well.

Any suggestions on getting him to stop? Getting rid of him is NOT an option so don't even bring it up.

Two weeks ago I adopted a 2 year old terrier mix from a shelter? They thought she was in heat but my vet confirmed that she was not. Her nipples are enlarged so I am not sure if she is pregnant now or if the enlarged nipples are due to a previous pregnancy. She is scheduled to see the vet again on Monday for vaccinations. Does anyone know if the nipples remain enlarged after a dog has had puppies?

How do you respond to blatent breed predjudice?

This morning, I took Stella, my female APBT with me to PetCo. She was sitting beside me quite calmly when a man walked up to me, tapped me on the shoulder, and said "That beast should either be muzzled or put out of it's misery". Stella just kept wagging her tail.

Usually, those type of comments roll right off my shoulders, but for some reason, I was very upset. Stella and I left empty handed immediately after.

How does everyone else respond to these comments?
