pet toads????

Question

i want to catch a pet toad for sciens and studdy its eating habets and stuff like that for exstra credid but ware do i keep it what do i feed it and how do i play with it i dont relly wanna buy a toad or buy a cage food ect. i live in north eastern C.T. so what kind should i catch and maby some good books on toads or a website and anyone who knows any thing about toads please help thanks a lot

Toads are fairly easy to maintain. They need a terrarium with a place to hide (Reduces stress and keeps the toad healthy). They also need a moss botton or dirt (please note that at least once per day, you should lightly mist the toad with plain old water from a mist bottle) Please make sure the mist bottle is cleaned out from any harsh chemicals before (Maybe run it through the dish washer). They will be fine if you catch crickets or go to a pet store and buy crickets. Since the toad was not bought from a store, I would suggest not keeping it longer than 2 weeks. Then do the fair thing, and release him exactly where you found him.
