I'm looking for a dog to keep in a rather small apartment where pets are forbidden. But a roommate feels she needs companionship. So I'm wondering if there is a dog out there that doesn't bark and doesn't shed. Any ideas?

Okay, i think i know enough that crayfish do not need any air pumps, but i think i would want to leave it in the tank just because i think the crayfish would like to play with it, but i have also heard, crayfish would climb up along the air tube and get out of the tank. is this true? if it is, are there any techniques that can be used so that i can still have the air pump and crayfish in the same tank?

Additional Question: For the crayfish experts, you know that there are red, blue, orange, and white crayfish out there. i heard the blue crayfish can live with the white and red can obviously live with the oranges. can blue and red crayfish live together or white and red? also, what other color crayfish are there? and can they get along with other colored crayfish?

and if my fish have the fish desiese "ick" would it affect the crayfish?

Hi~

I have a 10 gallon tank with 2 cherry barbs and 2 corydoras catfish. I am wanting to get more fish. My parents would only let me get 2 fish at a time. I wanted to get 2 more cherry barbs but they are out of stock and so are the corydoras catfish (all species). I wanted them to be in a school. Do you have any suggestiong for me? I have a ten gallon tank and 2 cherry barbs and 2 cories. I would like more fish but the fish i wanted weren't in stock.

What kind of fish would be good and suitable for a 10 gallon tank and fish as listed above?

Only two.

Thank you,
Christian Coleman

i have taken care of fish as pets without an air pump before and nothing bad happened really besides algie growing but i let my little pleco do it thing and clean it up at times. but despite the fact, you dont really need an air pump do you? fish can still live and survive without air pumps right? people have air pumps to keep the water moving so there wouldnt be anyalgie if thats how you spell it but also i have heard its to have oxygen in the water as well, but if my fish wants water, it would know to go up to the surface of the water right?

OK, I have an aquarium and that's it. First, what can I use to clean it. I know soap is bad, but is just water the only answer?
Also, I'm clueless when it comes to setting one up. I have no idea what I'll need, what works best.
Do I need a scad load of equipment or is there just one handy-dandy gadjet that does all the work?
Oh, and I'm certain I just want fresh water, run of the mill kinda fish. Nothing fancy.
Please, any help would help. :)

i started maybe a month ago.. one of my favorite fish.. a molly if i remember correctly. we called him wobble cause he would wobble about, however a month ago something happened. his spine sort of seemed to bend or something. the fish cant help but to be bent over and would pick at the bottom only he just wasent able to swim up with what looked like a crooked spine. he just got weaker and weaker and a few days ago he settled to the back of the tank just lying down looking like he was ready to die. I cant stand it anymore, fish or not i just cant bear to watch him suffer like this.. any chance anyone knows what i can do to help the fella get better other than just flush him now and make it easy for him?

For instance, I have an ad on petclassifieds and there are ads that others have placed that say, "no scammers please" or "scammers dont reply". How would I know if I am being contacted by a scammer, and what exactly is a scammer? (Esp. when it comes to a pet)

I have had my cat for over 3 years. She has always been quite low maintenance. Never had a problem with her tearing things up or peeing where she shouldn't. About the time my boyfriend started staying over frequently, and now that he has moved in, she pees on the bed weekly. Usually on his side. And I noticed after I started keeping her out of my bedroom, she started peeing on my guest bed too. What can I do about this? I am very attached to this animal, but also very attached to my stuff. I just bought a new temper pedic bed, and I really would be mad if she pissed on it. Someone please help!

People have kids with allergies but they are willing to give those animals a lot of love outside. There are different issues, but it's not one way or the highway. Try to ask someone who gives their outdoor animals tons of love and I promise you they would have them inside if something wasn't stopping them. Close-minded people need not respond.

Myself and my husband are looking into getting a dog, I do not want a big dog at all & not a tiny dog. We have been looking at the Patterdale's as they look and sound to us that the patterdale would fit nicely in our home. We have a big house, lovely back garden and we are surrounded by woods and other dogs in our street.

BUT one web site says that patterdale's will not get along with other dogs BUT another web site says they will. I know that it all depends how we bring the puppy up as we are planning on getting a puppy.
Also we are not sure if the patterdale likes children or young children? I say again, one web site says they do, another says they don't all depends on how you train them.

We would like to get a patterdale for a pet not a working dog, just as a pet. We will take it for walks, I say nearly everyday as I hear they don't like the cold (wether that's true I don't know), too play ball with to relax with and feel comfortable with.
Could someone please help me? Thank you..

Last August, I moved out of my ex-bf's appartment.

He had one cat and I had 2. My two cats had been together for 8 or 9 years when I moved in with him. The younger of my two cats really bonded tightly with his cat. I didn't want to split up my two, but I also didn't want to break the strong bond that his cat and my younger cat had. So after a long thought process, I asked him if he would keep my 2, as I felt it was best for all involved. He was given custody of my 2 cats with the strict understanding that they were not to be separated.

My older cat and his cat tolerated eachother but would often get in tussles, I figured it would mellow over time. Apparenly that did not happen. My ex mentioned to me that when he and his brother are no longer roommates that his brother was going to take my older cat.

I said no, if that were the case, I wanted the older cat, if not BOTH of them back. He said it was not my decision.

I say he is going back on our verbal agreement.
