Whether the angel is the last fish or not will depend on the other fish. Since saltwater fish are territorial and aggressive (with a few exceptions), you want to add the smaller and more peaceful species first. This way, they're less likely to bully the fish that go in after them. If I remember correctly, you were talking about a clown, damsel, and cardinalfish for your others, so in this instance, the angel would be likely to be the largest of the aggressive fish, so it should be last.

This also gives you an idea of what will be likely to happen if you get a new fish. If the angel is getting along with it's tankmates, it's because they've all established their own territories in the tank, and have learned to respect each other's boundaries. If you were to add another fish, it would have no territory, so would be picked on by the others. The best that you can do in a situation like this is to take the angel out (set it up in a temporary tank or container for a few days while you rearrange the decor in the tank and introduce the new fish (assuming this is another fish that is more peaceful and/or smaller). Let the fish get a chance to learn their new surroundings, then add the angel back - each fish will have to establish a new territory, so they'll be on more even ground than one new fish and three that are familiar with the tank. This won't guarantee success, but it's your best chance for a newcomer to get along with the others.

The general rule Craig was mentioning is that you don't want to mix fish that are of similar coloration or body shape, or that are from the same family. This helps keep aggression down, because the fish are less likely to see another that resembles themselves, so they won't consider the fish a "rival".

Well what else is in the tank? The rule of thumb is 1 angel per tank dwarf or larger species. as long as you font have other angel fish and dont have really agressive fish that may fight with the angel you should be fine. The last fish i added to my tank was a rusty angel, it had some fights at first with the lawnmower blenny but after a week or so they started to leave each other alone. So you should be ok as long as you dont have other angels or agressive fish.

as long as it is not another dwarf angel it would be fine. i am assuming you have a large enough aquarium so that the territorial nature of the flame angel is not exaggerated due to a small enclosure or a small amount of live rock. i have a dwarf angel and i added several fish to the tank after him. good luck....

Angel's are a member of the cyclid family. I don't know about your type. But regular are very aggressive. Any time I have added a new one all of the other's died. quarentine them first! Mine had an absolute hierachy, the big boss then, his right hand man and the rest were piss ant's basically.
