Midas cichlid have a bump on their head while red devils have a more pointier nose/mouth.

i have a midas chiclid and they get very big and very mean they also are bright orange they get as big as a oscar reply.

the only way that i know of which isnt always 100% accurate due to hybreds.

is on adult males, the red devil doesnt grow a very large head hump, where a midas is huge, which is why it is a componet to breed flowerhorns.

That is the only way i know, again it isnt 100% going to work as midas and red devils have been cross bred alot.
