I gave my 6month old cat Frontline plus today. We also used a flea bomb earlier. She was brought back into the house well after 3 hours, and the house was aired out for an hour before re-entering. (just did it to be safe) A little while ago she began to foam and druel from her mouth. She also was jumping around spazticaly. I opened up the window and put a bowl of water by the window and she seems fine now. Should I worry? and what should I do?

I feed my two beardies a daily salad of chopped, mixed turnip greens and collard greens (I buy bunches of whole leaves and wash them, tear them up, then mix them) but they are always slimy and/or smelly by the time I get to the bottom of the container. I keep them refrigerated in a sealed plastic tupperware--is there any better way to keep them so that they won't get all slimy and gross before I get to use them all? I only buy about a week's worth at a time. Thanks for any suggestions!

I just got these fish today (didnt really notice anything when i bought them) I used a drip method to acclimate them to the tank. Now that they are in there im noticing white spots mostly around the mouth and some on their bodies.

What could this be & how do i treat it???

BTW>>>..they are small Red Morrow Tetra's. I have 6 of them in a 10 gallon tank with live plants that came from another aquarium.

I just got new gravel, a live plant and because of poor quality stock and I know I am supposed to do a fishless cycle. How long should I do a fishless cycle for? I have my filter running and all of supplements added in (e.g. bio additives, clhorine remover, plant food) What is the best way to do a fishless cycle? The tank is only for 1 goldfish

I bought the "master test kit" for $35, and after doing all the tests, I washed them out and laid them on the counter to dry. A little while later, I walked past and managed to knock all of them on to the floor, where they all shattered.

So, now I have all these chemicals, and no test tubes. Anyone know where I can get just the tubes?

Thanks!

:
Could hospital cat be angel of death?
- He is a two-year-old cat and looks innocent enough. But at the nursing home where he lives in the US state of Rhode Island, Oscar has developed a reputation as an angel of death.

Since being adopted as a kitten by staff at the advanced dementia unit of Providence's Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oscar has revealed a rather morbid tendency to pick which patient is going to die next.

According to David Dosa, a geriatrician at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Oscar makes regular rounds, looking in on patients and giving them a quick sniff, before either moving on or settling down for a cuddle.

Every time you change your filter your tank has to mini-cycle, right? How do you avoid that? I just changed out my filter and the tank is cloudy again. It was crystal clear but it's been like this for several days. I did a 30% water change and gravel clean on Monday night and will probably do another one tonight. But, am I gonna have to have a cloudy tank for days every time I change my filter? And how often should I change my filter? I don't change the sponge thing in front of the filter - just the filter. Am I doing it wrong?

I have a fiddler crab and some red claw crabs- the fiddler i've had just over a year (Was of the understanding they only live a year- doing well!) and he shed his shell soon after I got him, and hasn't since.
The red claws, I have never seen shed... Does anyone know how often on average they shed their shells?

Break into a home that has a dog in it such as an Akita or Rottweiller etc?
Would you be less likely to break into a home with two Akita's or Rotties in them?
Some burglars break into homes to steal the dogs! I own an Akita and will be getting another soon ( boy/girl ) set up. Would you be less likely to break into a home with two guard dogs in it? Or does it not make a difference.

My mother is in her sixties. She was almost burgled a little while ago. I have studied for weeks the best dog for her and her husband to have. I don't want a watchdog it must be a guard dog. It must only require limited exercise and not be too big so that they can control it. Again I don't want a watchdog and nor do I want a lecture on why watchdogs are better. I want a guard dog only. I am struggling to find a dog that meets the requirements. Which breed ( of guard dog ) do you reccomend for a couple in there sixties?

So I just bought a heater for my 20 gal aquarium, but the the instructions suck. Its one those heaters that are tube shaped and have suctions to stick to the tank. Do I leave it on all the time, because I held it in my hand to make sure it work and it got really hot, and I dont want to boil my fish. Do I unplug and replug it, or does it keep the temp appropriate for me?

I monitor the water closely, the temp and the nitrate/nitrite/chlorine/hardness/ammonia/
alkalinity levels are all correct. But he continually has fin and tail rot and pop eye. I really don't know what to do any more. Help? I can't get RID of them. I've tried all of Mardel's products, copper safe, maroxy, antibiotics, adding salt. Nothing seems to work!

I have a 16 year old neutered Russian blue cat. He seems very healthy, but he recently went into the vet for a check up and some blood tests, and it looks like he has some type of infection. His white blood cell count is high, as is his lymphocyte count. We are trying antibiotics, per the vet's reccomendation, but if those dont work my vet says my cat may have leukemia.

I have a few questions about feline leukemia. First of all, my cat has always had his shots and I thought that FIP was to prevent feline leukemia. Are there different types or am I wrong about what FIP is for? Why would my cat get a disease he is supposed to be protected from?

Secondly, if my cat does have leukemia, what can I expect? I have no clue what the treatments would be, if it is possible to treat. And like I said, my cat is an old man, so I dont want to put him through something that may be too much for him.

Has anyone else been through this?
