I wouldn't feel guilty. As much as you might hate to hear this, most cats can do without you for a few days at a time, as long as they have fresh water, plenty of food, and a littler box. When you're gone, they mostly sleep anyway. And unlike dogs, cats are relatively anti-social. I'm not saying that cats don't offer affection or like to cuddle, because some of them really do, its usually just when they are ready.
Just give your kitty lots of attention before and after being gone, and they will definitely forgive you for being away a couple days. Your kitty seems like a very lucky cat with such a caring mom!

Yes terrible and I have 3 to keep each other company. When I get home I can't get any sleep the first night for furry bodies rubbing up to my face. Aaaah! It makes me feel more guilty that they don't hold a grudge, they're just pleased I'm back

Yes but he is ok when I get back just leave him extra food and water. I am getting him a playmate though so he will be fine. Sometimes I am like what if there was a fire isn't that horrible.

I do it's terrible thinking of how lonely they are. Thats why I get my friends to come by and feed, pet, play, and let them out while I'm away. I still miss them though.

I always have a friend come in and check on and play with them. That way I know there food and water are o.k. and it helps me get rid of some of the guilt.

I've left my kitties at home on weekends a lot. More than that, though, and I would get concerned.

DEF. Even if I leave out enough food and water, I still can't get back to my kitties soon enough!
