I gave my 6month old cat Frontline plus today. We also used a flea bomb earlier. She was brought back into the house well after 3 hours, and the house was aired out for an hour before re-entering. (just did it to be safe) A little while ago she began to foam and druel from her mouth. She also was jumping around spazticaly. I opened up the window and put a bowl of water by the window and she seems fine now. Should I worry? and what should I do?

I don't know how FP is applied, but if it's like Advantage where you put a liquid at the base of the neck, it's possible that she licked some. Or perhaps she managed to lick something in the house.

That sounds like a common side effect; what I recall reading was that those symptoms should be watched in case the cat starts seizing.

If I were you, I'd place a call to the vet to see what they recommend. Or call FP - they might have a number you can call in situations like this.

That doesn't sound good. There may have been enough on the floor for her to absorb it through her paw pads even after airing out. Make SURE you wash all water and food bowls really well. The foam isn't normal, I'd give a call to the vet and describe what happened and get the vet's opinion on this.

I have two kittens and they licked it off each other and threw up. But they were fine. If she seems okay now, then don't worry. It was probably just a bad reaction. I would switch to advantage, though. My vet says that's the best (but Frontline is cool, too).

Don't be like my mother who has a 28 lb cat. She took him to the vet because she thought he had a tumor the size of a golf ball on him stomach. $300 and a biopsy later, she comes to find out that her cat is so FAT that he has FAT on his FAT, forming a tumor-like pocket of FAT. lol. It's good she got it checked out, though. If your worried, go to the vet. The stress will kill you. If she looks fine, though, seriously, I would just keep an eye on her and see what's what.

I would not necessarily associate her symptoms with the Frontline. Did you use Frontline for Cats? If you did, you may want to call Frontline's 800 number located on the box. They have Vet's that are able to talk to you and advise you what to do.

Good luck to you and kitty!
