guppys are live bearers. there is no need to seaperate them. all you need is plenty of places for the fry to hide like plants and rocks and things. guppys dont usualy eat their young so they should be fine.

There are 2 directions you can go with
1. Either you seperate the female into a breeder, as soon as she is done birthing take out the female and raise the fry until they are about 4-6 weeks old, and bigger then your biggest fish mouth is and you can release them in there

or

2. You buy lots of live plants for your tank, that way the fry can hide from the adults as well as the other fish
I personally prefer that method because the fry grows much faster and is also healthier, in my opinion

Hope that helps
Good luck

Jus thave places for the fry (babies) to hide. Ex fake plants, caves, ornaments, ect. make sure you feed the mom after birth so that she doesn't eat the fry (babies). The mother usually will not eat her own young until 2 days have passed since birth. But in any case have spaces for the young to hide or the parents will EAT them. have fun being a new parent :)

Okay, get the male out of there before he impregnates her again. After the babies are born, get the mother out of there. The parents eat the fry. Keep the fry separate from the parents until they are big enough to NOT be able to fit into their mouths. Then you'll have to separate the fry by their sex (look for their gonopodiums/gravid spots) once they are old enough to breed.

when ever u feel that the female is going to drop her young, move her into the breeding tank/trap.

Both the parents and other fishes will eat fry fish, so you will need to seperate them.
