I have a kitten which is 8 months, she does her pee (toilet) on our furniture, she doesn't do on her litter box,we bit her and directs her to her litter box but she returns to do on furniture, i don't know what to do as she becames afraid of anyone coming close to her...please help to make her return do her pee on her litter box....Thanks

I just got a blue nose pit and everytime i take him out, everyone tells me to watch out cause he might get stolen and sold for a lot of money...at first i thought the micro chip would be a really big help, but is there any thing else i could do or get to prevent my puppy from being stolen, besides always making sure someone's with him?

currently i ownma juwel 240 tank(4ft) currently running a normal tropical tank with the usually molies neons plec shaks etc!!
anyway i want to change set up to some colouful cichlid and what do i hav e to add to make it a chichlid compatable tank??
- change my gravel to sand?
-what the juwel filteration?
-add salt?how?
-decorations /ocean rock etc??
-food?
-lighting
-filtration
-hiding places like what?
- plants?
also which fish are better more colourful etc arfican cichlids or malawi and can i mix them together and recpmend me which to buy?

I have a tiny toy chihuahua puppy that has a lot of fur in the pads of her paws, someone told me that I needed to trim this or her paws will start to hurt, does anyone know if this is true?

My puppy is just about 13 weeks old. We got her last week from a breeder and boy did she smell! So we had given her a bath ( a quick one) which seem to help a little but now its been a week and she smells so bad again. Her smell is triggering my allergies and I have to keep changing my shirts b/c of her smell. Is it ok to give her a bath again? I am using a tearless puppy shampoo but I haven't used conditioner yet. Also has anyone heard of mixing a little touch of Downy and water to put on in the end? Oh, by the way, she is a Havanese (part of the bichon frise family). Could it be that puppies smell more than adults? Any info would be greatly appreciated!:)

We have a chihuahua and a chihuahua/dachsund mix that are constantly fighting over everything like treats,toys,and just one trying to be the alpha dog. How should we break up a fight between the two without almost losing a finger or getting bit? My boyfriend tried throwing a blanket over one and scooping him up but he still got his fingers pinched by the chihuahua's mouth inside the blanket. I hope there is a safe way to go about this because we are worried they are going to hurt each other.

I got a puppy a few months ago. She is a pit bull mix. I realize most people think pit bulls are mean dogs, but she is a sweetheart, very energetic, playful, and well socialized. She is about 4 months old now. The only concern I have is her behavior with one of my cats. She constantly chases the cat (naturally), but then when she corners the cat (named Bella), she will sort of hover over Bella and lick the back of her neck. I am not sure if she nips while she does this, I think it's just licking. The reason this worries me is because I am afraid one day she will take playing too far, and will grab Bella by the back of the neck and shake her until Bella is dead. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is this normal, or am I just freaking out over nothing? I love my cat to death and I wouldn't be able to handle it if something happened to her.

I'm babysitting a dog for a friend and he won't eat. He is very clingy to me and he obviously misses his owner. How do I get him to eat? I don't want him to get sick or anything. this morning we heard a strange noise coming from our fireplace. We noticed 4 baby birds and half of their nest on the floor of the fireplace. My Shih Tzu will be 2 in mid-August and lately she smells soooo bad! Example, last night she had a bath, but the stink doesn't go away. It isn't her ears & it isn't a poop smell, but it is unbareable! She is shaved so it isn't her coat either. I did notice while shaving her last night she has some brown spots (looks like dried mud, but doesn't wash off) on her belly and while she was on her back the smell was much worse. I am thankful for all help! At this moment I don't have money to take her to a vet, but I have 2 boys and a 4 mo old girl & we can't take the smell any more! Thank you all!

I have a 5 month old puppy named Dalles and she is very sweet, loves everyone, and picks up on training very well. Everyhting about her is perfect except for the fact that when we go outside she feels the need to greet everyone who walks by and is constanly pulling at the leash to get somewhere else. I have an established 20 gallon with 6 neons and 3 ottos. I want to add more but I have a little ammonia. I haven't lost any fish and everyone seems happy. I feed every few days or so, do weekly water changes, and use fake plants. Is there anyway besides using chemicals, that could lower it? I thought I was doing everything right.
