Is the litter clean? Sometimes if there is no liquid or solid waste in the litter they don't understand its use. If you have another cat then that shouldn't be an issue, I have always had one already each time I have got a new kitten and have not had any trouble in litter training them. If no other cats in the house, pick up the solid waste from the furniture and place it in the litter and do not cover it up. Make sure you keep placing the kitten directly in front of the waste so that it smells it and sees it, then it will understand the litter is where the waste stays. Then when it goes in the litter make a big deal of it and give it lots of praise and some treats. Good luck!

I've never personally had a problem like this before ,but I've heard keeping a kitten in an empty room( laundry ,bath, or utility rooms) with the litter pan, and food and water of course for a day or so can help with training. Most likely the cat wont want to pee on a hard surface and will use the litter pan instead and after a few times using it, will "brake it in" with its own smell and hopefully a habit will be formed. keep the kitty in the room, but don't leave it alone for days either. Always keep the litter clean, cats are very clean animals and wont use their litter when it's to stinky. the only time my cats ever had accidents were when their litter was filthy. You probably notice that your kitty go's in alot of the same places.Try to to have the spots in the house cleaned really well or professionally cleaned (if it's really ever possible to get cat piss smell out....eww) to reduce it's chances of wanting to go potty there again. I love animals, but wouldn't let one destroy my home...give your kitty another chance, but if you can't train it , you may need to say goodbye :( unless you like a stinky house! GOOD LUCK!

I say after she eats, take her to the litter box and put her in it until she goes potty. Praise her with positive reinforcement, petting her and playing with her and stuff. Keep doing that until she gets the hang of it. ^^ Good luck!!!

Sometime you get an animal that won't learn, but maybe it's your kitty litter or a certain odor she doesn't like.

my cat just learned natural. some cats just never learn or don't know they are doing something wrong. maybe spray it with water whenever it does that. like when my cat scratches the sofa i get the spray bottle and spray her and she stops. its like magic. lol
