My Betta fish has not being doing well at all for the past 2 weeks. She hasn't been eating anything lately, stays at the bottom of the tank or near the top, and she seems out of breath. Her mouth and gills open and close more rapidly than usual.
She is also swimming vertically (head up to surface, tail down towards gravel).
I am treating her with BettaFix Remedy, which the pet store guy said should treat any betta fish ailment, but I believe he is wrong.
What do you think is wrong with her and what treatment would be helpful?

So I have a male Pug named Tater Tot that is 1 1/2 years old and I have recently considered getting him a girlfriend...and no, not only for breeding, I just want another Pug because I love them, I would only breed her a few times in her lifetime, I would just like to eventually keep one of the puppies so I will always have a part of Tater...but anyways, I just don't know if I'll be getting myself into trouble or not...exactly how hard is it to have a male and female dog that aren't fixed? Because I don't want her to get pregnant every heat cycle, so how do you know when she is about to be in heat, I mean, is it just a big pain in the butt? I will eventually get her fixed I'm sure, but I just wanted some of your guys' points of view on having a male and female dog and if it's stressful??

And before any of you say "Get him neutered, we don't need anymore stray dogs or dogs in shelters dying", it's nothing like that...I would keep them all as my own if I had trouble selling them! =)

I got two dobes. a red and black. the black dobes markings above the eye have grown to a point where he now has the rust color around the enitre eye instead of the two dots that dobes are known to have. when purchased they were about a month old and they where normal. my question is is this normal? and will they eventually go back to what they were suppose to be once he gets older???

I know she can see herself. When I got my other cat, she used to attack herself in the mirror. So why now do they not care if they look in a mirror?

I am fixing to get a puppy for the first time. I was told that the dog has been dewormed, and that all it needs is first puppy shots. I was wondering what all the first puppy shots included, and how much they would approximately cost.

she's only 2 years old, our cats have a history of it. she's red right above her teeth.. all around.. i'm afraid it's going to be the real deal. am i overreacting? does it sound like it might be early stages of cancer?

also, can oral cancer be transferred from cat to cat just by eating the same food?

The author of the article cited states these points which I would like arguments against: Cesar Millan hurts dogs, his traditional training methods are cruel, critics are not jealous of his success, critics have watched "The Dog Whisperer" and still criticize it, he doesn't rehabilitate dogs, others could help the dogs he works with, positive trainers have not said to euthanize the dogs he helps, other trainers techniques work just as well, Cesar doesn't educate himself, dogs get plenty of excercise, food rewards work with aggressive dogs.

Is it better for your fish health if you simulate a day and night cycles for them. You know by turning your aquairm light off at night and covering tank so no light gets in.

I have had chickens for a long time and I know what I'm doing most of the time, but this time I am kinda stumped.
I had a hen hatch out some baby chicks. Another bird attacked one and broke its femur bone.
The chick is probably about 2-3 weeks old.
It is a clean, jagged break.
I have it in a "splint" and the the whole leg is wrapped with vet wrap.
The bird doesnt seem to be in too much pain. He can hop to eat and drink and seems pretty content in the cage.

What else can I do for him?
Not the vet, they have no clue, and NO im not just going to kill him.

The swelling is going down, he is on an antibiotic, and it seems like it may be healing.

What do you think the chances are that the leg will heal?
What can I give him for the pain and swelling?

(and yes I understand it prob. wont heal correctly and he will be a hopper, thats fine I can handle that)

Any input or past experience would be nice! well unless it has just kill it in the answer!
