My chocolate lab has a sore behind his r ear about the size of a dime?

Its bloody and red. I dont know where it came from. Can you give me suggestions to treat it?

Take a wet wash cloth or paper towel and try to clean it up a little. Try to see if it's just a scratch, or if it's really bad. If it's bad, take him to the vet. If not, just keep an eye on it for the next few days. You can't really put a bandage on it, so let it scab over and just watch it.

It's always best to take a dog to the vet for this kind of thing, because it could be a symptom of something more serious. I don't think it is, but better safe than sorry.
