Definitly consult a vet. What kind of cleaner do you use for the surfaces the puppy/dog walks on? If you use bleach he might burn his paws and that's the reason for the sores and his troubles.

Even other cleaners might cause a reaction. Or do you have poison ivy/poison oak in your yard the dog could have come in contact with?

you can get a dish with warm water and put in about half a cup of epsen salts and soak each foot for 10 mins or so ,dry them well and put some polysporin ointment on the blisters then sprinkle gold bond antiitch powder on top . try for a few days and if they are not healing take him to the vet, he might need some meds to clear up any infection. my husky is allergic to wet grass so i did this and it really helped.

Sore paws? Take him to the vet. Very unpleasant for him, needs to be sorted out.

One answerer said it might be normal for a breed - I doubt it, but even if it was that's no reason not to fix it. Congestive heart failure is pretty normal for cavaliers but it still needs to be treated.

The causes of sore paws are many, so you need a vet to take a look.
