I think what you want to know here is how do fish breed perhaps? Well as some of these other people mentioned, most fish do lay eggs. Breeding requires alot of different parameters. Some of that includes near perfect water chemistry, knowing if you have a male and female, and to some extend, the male and female get along and will breed. Just having a male and female of a species does not guarentee you will produce fry. That is the term for offspring, fry. Some others are live bearers like mollies and guppies, and swordtails. They actually get impregnated. You need to look at the requirements for whatever species of fish you are trying to breed.

Only fish in the livebearing group can get pregnant. Fishes like that include guppies, platies, mollies, swordtails, mosquito fish and others. Other fish lay eggs.
In order for a livebearing fish to get pregnant, the male and female must copulate. The male is equipped with a rod-like structure in place of the anal fin, called a gonopodium. He basically chases the female around, does displays in front of her , and tries to get the gonopodium close to her vent in order to copulate. If successful, the female then becomes pregnant and gives birth to live fry a few weeks later.

In exactly the same way as humans and most animals get pregnant, a male and a female get together - have a little fun - and the female finds herself pregnant.
Not all fish however get pregnant - many fish lay eggs and the procedure is a little different for them - a male and a female get together - the famale lays her eggs - the male fertilises them and eventually the eggs hatch.

Well, it is very simple. Girl fishes will simply lay eggs on a sheltered area of the river, or sea or creek. The the male fish will swim by, see the eggs on the river bed and he will spawn his sperm over the eggs. It is sort of girl fishes peeing eggs, and boy fishes peeing sperms. The sperms penetrate the eggs, some will become baby fishes, the rest will just drift down the river.

Most of them don't. Many species of fish lay their eggs prior to fertilization, whereupon they are sprayed with sperm by the male and start developing outside of the mother. There are some exceptions to this rule, such as sharks, but with most fish, nothing that can be called a pregnancy really takes place.

Most fish lay eggs, but a few, don't.
In the few that don't they basically do it the same as humans.

They don't - they lay eggs, which the male then fertilizes.
