I just posted this then it was deleted? Anyway here it is again...

I asked for some tips on teaching my horses to lunge and I have tried some of them but they are still being ornrey. I use a lead line (don't have a round pen) and my husband walked them around me in a circle. I used a buggy whip behind them to motivate them but the second my husband lets go (they are fine with him there) they will both swing thier butts around and face me! They dont even care when I tap them with the whip, they ignore me! Big brats. =) One is a 10yr old TB (non ex-racer) and the other is an 11yr old Arabian.

Advice please? Some step by steps on how to train them or some good sites you know of? Thanks!

We have just got a tiny new kitten and have followed all the guidelines about keeping her isolated, switching scents on blankets, etc.

My existing cat (1 year old neutered male) seemed curious and relaxed about the whole situation, and we thought things were going well.

Tonight we put the kitten in a cat carrier and allowed our male cat to see her for the first time. We thought he would curiously sniff, as he is an outgoing and friendly cat, but he hissed about 20 times whilst staring at her and slowly approaching.

Can someone please tell me if so much hissing is normal or a bad sign? Also, what should I do next? I'm worried about scaring my new kitten!

I plan on putting my tank on my dresser because it's got a lot of space and is very sturdy. I large mirror is attached to the back of my dresser. I've heard that some fish may think that their reflection is another fish and will smack its head into the side of the tank to get to the "other fish". Is this true? I don't want my fish to bust their heads open.

if im traveling out of town for a few days and im bringing my cockatiel with me...is it really necessary for me 2 bring the huge cage the person at the pet store gave me for it 2 live in? or can i get a smaller cage (about parakeet sized) and let them stay in there


also...is a bird harness really good too?

I live in a one bedroom apartment and just bought a ferret. I love the little guy but her cage smells, now matter how clean I keep it. I'm considering getting another ferret soon, any suggestions on how to keep the smell down. Also, how big of a cage do you need for two ferrets? Thanks!

I have 3 Red Eared Slider turtles and I've had them for a few years now, and everytime I go into the room I see them clawing at the glass like if they do it more, they'll be able to get through.

Then when it comes to feeding time they go crazy and when I put the food in the top (and even though they watch me do this) they don't notice that the food is in the water (even when it HITS their heads) and they keep slapping the water (their way of begging for food).

So everytime I feed them I have to leave the room afterwards so they can stop looking at ME and see that the food is in the water.

Since I have been feeding them everyday this way for years, shouldn't they be smart enough to notice this? Are my turtles just especially dumb or are all RES this way?

today my sis fancied getting me a black ghost knife coz it looked awesome and it does it is a 4" or so, surfed for 5 straight hours on the net but couldnt get my answer any where, what can i feed my Reaper thats what its called now :P i only found blood worms, but the problem is i have other fish that will take them in one bite, 3 angels, a pleco apple snail cory and 2 kuhli loaches and other fish, are there any types of pellets like carnivore ones etc ? and any idea that the others wont touch it so it can be eaten only by by him ? need info as about 8 more hours more i will go to buy his new food today i will give him a freezed shrimp.

theres this dog that really wants me to keep him but i cant because i already have 4 dogs at my house. now today i just found out that he broke the gate that sepreats my backyard from the people that lives behind me just to get to me. i dont kno3w what to do because he i take him home hes just going to get out again and do it all over again. and the anmal control dosent ever come neither dose aspca or any of them. so i no longer know what to do. and now my mom is getting pissed at me cause i am the one that got along with him in the first place but thats not my fault because i get along with all of the dogs that live in the streets or even run around in the streets. and so i know that this cant keep happening and that i cant keep him. also that no one will come to get him. so what do i do?

I think my cat has worms again--he loves to hunt squirrels, mice birds, snakes and rabbits. How often can you give your cat praziquantel ( the tape worm medicine)--also do I need to give him round worm med. too? Or without knowing if he has it or not, what is the recommended dosage for felines on a yearly basis?
