Keep a treat cup filled with a good pelleted food, like Zupreem. They tend to like the finch size fruit blend pellets the best. Parakeets do need seed in their diet, but over time a seed only diet will lead to nutritional deficiencies. Pellets will help provide necessary vitamins and minerals.
To encourage budgies to eat other foods, clip the new foods to the bars of the cage or make "shish kabobs" and hanging them in the cage. Budgies aren't big fruit or pasta eaters, but they'll nibble on dark leafy greens like Romaine or parsley.

Birds will usually shy away from anything new in the cage, and refuse to eat new foods. Little birds like budgies are prey birds; new things are scary and dangerous. O.O

The key to getting them to eat new foods is patience. Just keep offering it, on top of the seed. Over time, they'll get used to pushing it out of the way, and once they realize it doesn't bite they might try a bit. Then it's a matter of their tastes.

Another thing to try is the natural (no preservatives, phosphates or anything) dried fruits and veggies you can get at health stores or some pet shops. My bird loves the "just peas" and "just raspberries." It's still healthy, and easier to keep on hand than fresh. I've also had a lot of luck with carrot greens.

I've taken care of dozens of budgies over the years. Most were as you've already noticed pretty much stuck on seed.

I never had much luck getting them to eat much fruit, however quite a few of them seemed to relish occasional snacks of various leafy greens, romaine, kale, mustard greens can collard greens are a couple you could try that are pretty easy to obtain.

A diet of strictly seed will slowly starve a bird over a period of time. They need protein and carbohydrates in the diet. They should fresh veggies, fruits and hamburger meat. Good luck with your bird.

Your feeding is great, just about everything they need.Regarding the soft food you are all ready feeding almost everything other than the biscuit meal.Personally I would buy a ready made soft food and add some of your grated fruit and veg.to moisten it.I would also soak the millet sprays and rinse before feeding.
