I thought they go in heat about every six months and she is now seven months and counting but i haven't seen any signs of going in heat.

She is and American Eskimo. The cough is now on it's third round. The first was about a year ago. One day she just woke up, coughing. It sounds awful and you can tell it gives her discomfort but we don't know what to do or what it is. The first round ended within two months, suddenly again. We were happy and just though of it as a fluke. Then it came again in February. The vets we went to had no explanation, even after several X-rays and exams. Nothing. After about three weeks that round stopped. And then one week ago - it's back. It seems more controlled this time and it seems to heighten with excitement, although it usually happens at random times. The cough starts out small , gradually grows larger, and then peaks and dies down again to nothing. I have gone as far as to sing to her to get it to stop - I'm desperate. I work from home and am on the phone for a large portion of the time so I need this fixed. If this sounds familiar AT ALL to anyone please, please help me out! I NEED it

I know..I know...I'm a lucky lady! I have a fish that has Ick and tail rot. One other fish that has Ick and two other fish that seem like they're okay (for now). I bought Ick medication and Fungus medication. Can I treat them together at the same time?

Also, how long does it take to treat these problems? Any thoughts?

I let my dog go out in our back yard alone to "potty". My husband forgot to let her in one time and she was out there for about an hour and i want to make sure another dog didn't hook up with her especially since i plan to breed her.

My dog is 10 and I started brushing them when she was about 8, I brush them very infrequently, because she is so difficult and she angers me so much. But her mouth is gross, she has had the oral teeth cleaning surgery and I am trying to maintain it, but it's so hard and to top it off I suspect she eats crap so that really upsets me, I thought I broke her from that, maybe it's the old age, she has changed so much and not in good ways. When I brush her teeth she licks and chomps. and I have a hard time prying her mouth open, please help. If there are any vets reading this your imput would be a godsend.

OK well I just got 2 male and 2 female guppies the other day from the store.I have a older female and a younger one that doesnt even have color yet.It has a gravid color that is pretty black on its rear and is it pregnant? Its stomach is pretty big too but not huge. I have a breeding tank to put her in but when do I do it? I mean I've had her fore 2 days and nuthin has happen? PLus she hasnt been eating..whats the dealio??!!

The pet shop is where I got her from. They told me the breeder is in another state. And I have no idea about her history. etc. I think it's a normal cold cause the guy at the pet store said they are prone to getting them when they are in new surround (my home since. I got her yesterday) would it be that?

And my male (also cockatiel) whenever he is in the cage he spreads the eggs and I think the female is cracking the eggs 'cause when the male is out of the cage, one of the eggs sticks onto the mothers stomach feathers because the egg is cracked and the yolk is makin the egg stick?

I recently bought a 5 month old corn snake and I have her in a ten gallon glass tank. I am using an ecoearth substrate and I have an under the tank heater that covers approximately 1/4 of the bottom of one side of the tank (stuck on the bottom outside of the tank). When I feel the bottom of the cage from the inside over the heating pad, it is pretty hot. I put a thermometer in there and it reads 110 degrees. I turned it off immediately. Should I get a thermostat to regulate the temp on the glass because I'm afraid she'll dig down one day and get burned? If so, what temp should it be at the very bottom? I also tried a smaller heating pad and it still made the glass really hot by the way. Any help would be appreciated.

I took care of a kitten for about 6 days and unknowingly to me, he had fleas. I found this out after the fact. His owner had given him a flea bath prior to me watching him but it did not kill all of them. My question is will my house become infested now or do I need to just do a good cleaning and washing?

My friend has two guard dogs who got into a fight, they're both purebred German Shepherds and one has a giant gash, about two and a half to three inches long and the same wide. Her dad wont take it to the vet because it's not lisenced, and we've done all we can to try and convince him too. We've put peroxide on it, bandaged it up, got it stitched up by our friend who's a nurse, put a muzzle on her but she ripped the stitches out twice.

We really don't want to put the dog down as she is still young. We just want to know if there's anything we can do other then killing her.

Even if we have to put her down, we're going to try whatever we can first, does anyone have any ideas?

Also, please don't send be bitchy answers as my friend is only 13 and already very upset about it. Me and her are trying our best but we can't take the dog to the vet ourselves, so please don't blame us for her dads actions. Thanks

But I'm Worried it may be a Pitt mix the owners told me English setter possibly boxer mix and my hubby informed me that boxer mix sometimes is a cover for Pitt mix I love Pitts but realize that that breed is not the right choice for me do you guys think she look like a Pitt ??? This is Kaya. She's 2 years old, weighs about 50 lbs, and has medium length, fine, silky, sparkly hair with a little wave in it. She has freckles and these bizarre eyes- depending on the light they're either lavender or GREEN! I've never seen a dog with green eyes before. She points when she sees a small animal or bird. (I didn't teach her to do this) She's a rescue from the shelter I volunteer with but originally came from Kentucky. Best guess they had was Lab/Pointer. Now, I definitely see the lab- But Pointer? She doesn't have the jowls, her tail's not that long, and the silky hair and little, turned-up snout...my best guess was Lab/Brittany Spaniel. As I said, just curious...What do you guys think her heritage is?

ok, me friend just got a kitten. its like 9 or 10 weeks old now. she had a cat before but it ran away. i think that she doesnt really know how 2 take care or it cuz she bathed it with HUMAN shampoo. wen she told me that i was like wtf u cant do that. she was like y? i was like r u kidding me! theres a reason they make cat shampoo. plus she didnt feed it any water till i told her she had to. just milk. i was like omg it'll get dehydrated. ontop of that they make the kitten live OUTSIDE. like not even in the garage. even at night it sleeps outside. and when i tell her stuff its like she doesnt even listen. i told her 2 buy cat shampoo like 2 weeks ago and she still didn't. i don't know what to do. she's like my best friend. i dont want her 2 get mad at me but at the same time i feel really bad for the kitten. its just a baby and it lives outside? ugh help!!!

I have a cockatiel who is only like 2 months old. I want to buy him a companion, but 'tiels are so expensive! (I am only teenager so EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE!!) At my petstore a gray tiel is $50 and mutations like lutinos, pieds, etc are $80. I was wondering what companion I should get it. Budgies are cool because they are only $15, but some people say tiels and budgies hate eachother, while other people say they love eachother!!! (I am quite confused!!) Can you people tell me what would be good with my 'tiel? Lovebirds are believe $30 so that's not quite as bad. I know lovebirds and parrotlets can eat my cockatiel's food (seeds grains etc from store), can a budgie?
