as dogs get older they sometimes get growths on all different parts of there body. my 9 year old min pin has a lump on his side and a fat deposit in his eye. both are not life threatening. i would not worry to much. if anything they might want to remove whatever it is just cause if its on the inside of the eyelid it might not be to comfortable for the dog. but yeah i would not worry. im so happy to see a real question on here and not things like "can i tie my chicken to a tree" good luck with the vet tomorrow hun and calm down a little everything will be fine.

Eyelid growth has been obvious for ~ 7 months. till this previous December (2013) it grew to become into small and not becoming. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, in December it began becoming. Had one vet verify it out and estimate value of removal; $750. yet another vet interior the comparable city, much less then 10 miles away, $312. purely had it got rid of as we communicate. canines is advantageous - purely sleepy as with all surgical treatment/anesthetic. Tramadol, ointment and different discomfort meds and ace as required. For now - he's resting properly. Will bypass decrease back in 10 days to have stitches got rid of. (Virginia coastline, VA).

Eyelid growths are quite common many times are cysts. It isn't a bit deal to remove them, but they do have to be anesthetized. Best to remove them while they are small because there will be less defect to the eyelid. They can grow large and rub on the cornea, causing irritation.

Your vet is your best bet. Could be something as simple as an eyelash.
