I have been wanting to own a hampster for some time now. The only problem is, I currently live in a dorm in college, and next year I will be living in my sorority house. Hampsters aren't really allowed in either. So, is it hard to take care of a hampster in a small space and can hampsters survive if they were to say... live under a bed or something?

I think my parakeet is dying. She is falling over, I did see her eat a little today. Sometimes she starts sqawking & I don't know if she is hurting. She has been in a cage with a male parakeet for about 6mos. Anyway, does anyone have any answers ??

Can Snakes Be Mixed? For example you see how you have a mixed dog with 2 or more different breeds. Can that be possible with snakes? Like a snake thats mixed with another snake?

My 2 pit puppies (5 months old) got in a fight about 2 hrs ago and while trying to separate them, one of them bit the palm of my hand really hard and i started bleeding. The other side of my hand feels swollen, and the flesh just feels like it's burning. They both have all their shots, so I guess there's nothing to worry about. I just want to know if its still normal for my hand to feel like this, swollend and with a burning sensation. I just put a bandaid where the pup bit me..I don't know if I should still worry..

My 2yr old staffordshire bull terrier is in season she bleeds for 2 weeks, but how long after is she still in season? Can anyone help coz i'm not sure if i want to breed her yet, also how late can i leave it,when is she to old to have pups?

i hav the "penn-plax smallworld pump and filter kit" and with the water level going down a bit, the water level goes below the place where the bubbles come out and prevents the filter from cleaning the water..do they drink the water or somethin? (i hav a 1 gallon tank with two goldfishes in it [ please do not complain about the one gallon part or i will report u]) please giv me serious answers!!

I just found a puppy that looks less than a month old (about 3 weeks or so), and I can't really feed him. I give him milk in a baby's bottle, but I don't know if it's good enough for him. I have two 5 month old Pit Bull puppies (they're vaccinated), and of course I can't put them together because still, his immune system is not fully developed, plus his not getting his mother's milk to make it stronger. I will go to Petco tomorrow to see if I can find something to feed him for the next 2-3 weeks and then put him for adoption. I just need more advice on how to take care of such a young puppy, as well as how or what to feed him. I want the best for that little one, eventhough I won't be able to keep him because of my other 2 puppies. Any advice will be really appreciated..thanks.

At first my female had been throwing up for about week. She would puke three days in a row then not for a day then she would again. so i took her to the vet . got meds now she fine but my male dogs has been throwing up the past two days. Any ideas???

I've been leaving my flourecesent light on my tank for 10-12 hours a day. Usaully turning it on when I get up, turning it off when I go to bed. I've notice the majority of the fish seem to hide more when the light is on, and are more active with the light off. Is to much light a bad thing? Would my fish be more comfortable without the light on so much? Is there a downside to leaving the light off more?

one of my black mollies always leans up against something. He douse not have a problem swimming. When the other black molly chases him he looks fine but after the chase is over he or she just leans up against the heater or a plant. it has been doning it since i got it.
