There is a whole host of things that can go wrong.Take her to an avian vet. Sanitize the cage and improve the diet of your bird(s) A good pellet food, 10%seed only and 10%fruits and veggies. A lot of illnesses are caused by malnutrition of all seed diets She might be egg bound where an egg is stuck. Many die and sometimes it can be removed by a qualified breeder or avian vet. Give your birds chopped egg with the shell 4 times a week if breeding. Egg laying takes a lot of nutrition, more protein and more calcium. I'm sorry for your troubles and I hope its not too late. But should you suffer a loss, change things to improve the life of the remaining bird. Good luck to you and yours.

It's ok I understand that spending money for food and toys is little expensive, there is no way that this food will harm your cockatiel, but very importantly please understand what I just said, the parakeet food won't harm the cockatiel, I didn't say it's the appropriate food for you cockatiel. There are certain type of birds that require special vitamins daily which is why there is a certain type of food for group of birds. Especially cockatiels they need certain vitamins and protein. If it's possible I would recommend you buy cockatiel food and mix it with the food you already have. If you are hesitant in any way what kind of food your cockatiel should be eating you should consult an avian vet.

Birds are genetically configured to NOT show any symptoms of disease of sickness; doing so can mean being ostracized by the flock, who does not want a sick bird around attracting predators.

So if ANY bird shows any signs of sickness, they usually only do so in the very last and final stages. They might sit and puff up their feathers and be inactive, that is bad enough, but if your bird is falling over, you need to get it to the vet. And SOON...!

Unlike mammals (dogs, cats) that will usualy get better in a day or two, most birds that are acting sick usually only get worse...

If your birds feathers seemed to look like it's cold then yes it could be sick. And if it is sick if you have a second cage you might want to have them in different cages because chances are the other one can catch it also.

falling is definitely not a good sign, take her to the vet or at least call them to ask.
