They should only have one litter a year (preferably one litter ever other year) because they should have c-sections with every litter. The mom's body needs extra time for her body to repair and recuperate from the litter. Average litter size is 4-8 puppies, but a dog may have more or less.

Are you planning to breed this dog? Technically dogs go in heat about twice a year. Good breeders will only allow to breed once a year or less to maintain health of mom and pups.

I believe they normally have 3-4 pups but that is not an exact.

In rescue we spay and neuter. There are more dogs out there without homes.

Dogs come in heat twice a year, but they should not be bred each time they come in heat. Also bulldogs usually need c-sections, and they should not be bred but maybe 2 or 3 times total, and their litters should be at least 18 mo apart to allow them time to heal.

Most breads can have as many as 3 litters a year, but one or two is more common. Not sure about litter size.
