They are usually in heat for 3-4 weeks, but it depends on the dog. They can usually be bred about 10 days after they start bleeding. A female should not be bred after age 5.

Dogs are usually in heat for 3 weeks. The second week is suppose to be their breeding week. If your not sure if you want to breed her yet, then you should probably wait. It can be very expensive if your not ready for the vet bills. Sometimes females can have problems during their pregnancy or delivery. Not including if you get the puppies tails docked, dew claws removed or 1st set of puppy shots started before selling the puppies. Some people think having puppies can be easy extra cash but it may not turn out that way. Just consider all that I mentioned before breeding your dog and do some research so you know what you could be dealing with later. Good Luck, I hope all works out for the best!

a dog is in heat 21 days , the best breeding days are day 15 thru day 18 , the first 7 days are going in heat (swelling) the next 7 are bleeding , and the last 7 are going out but its the day after they stop bleeding they will let the male have them , i breed boxers and also breed shih tzu's , and the 15th day id usually the best day , however before you breed make sure you got time to devote to the new puppies , it takes alot of time and finding them good responsible owners can also take some time

The season will final for 3 weeks from the 1st day you spotted a gap of blood. After 10 days or so the blood will start to dry up and that's often while the female ovulates, between the eleventh and 14th days. those are called her 'mating days' given it incredibly is the time while a woman will easily settle for a male canines. you would be vigilant for the entire 21 days in case you do no longer prefer her to grow to be pregnant. you should use an anti-mate spray and spray it round her lower back featherings. it is going to help to deter undesirable suitors once you're taking her out for a walk besides the shown fact that that is needed to maintain her indoors in the process the 'mating days' with the aid of fact no longer something will deter a rampant male immediately. I surely have got here across with my very own canines that as quickly as the female gets previous her sixteenth day i will then carry her lower back into the %. with the aid of fact the boys regularly grow to be bored in her after immediately yet I nonetheless could save a careful watch with the aid of fact she would desire to grow to be pregnant top as much as the final day of her season and that i might in no way go away her on my own with my male canines.

Before you breed from your ***** you need to have her health tested for a number of hereditary diseases.
Do you know how many SBT are in rescue kennels already? Please don't breed from her unless she is an outstanding example of the breed, you have the knowledge & experience to help her when she's whelping & the money to pay for a caesarean if things go wrong. You also need to to be prepared to take the puppies back at any stagein their lives should they need rehoming at any time
