Can anybody tell me why someone would want to get artificial testicles for their dog? It makes no sense.

I have 5 cats and one of them we just got not too long ago. She is about 14 years old. She will not use the litter box. She uses other places as the litter box. All of our cats are inside but one. If she does not learn to use the litter box, she will have to be an outside cat when the weather heats up. I am wondering if you guys have any suggestions for teaching an old cat, well, old tricks. Have anything to help get her to use the litter box?

Is there anything I can put on it? It sort of looks like a premature boil. It is about 1.5 cm across and circular. Anyone know what it may be?

My dog is going thru her first heat and is acting very strange. She is usually very independent, last few days though she has been wanting constant attention. In addition, I didn't think female dogs did the humping thing that male dogs usually do, but my arm is in constant jeopardy. Is this all normal?

i honestly don't think hes drunk but he's swaggering when he walks, and he kind of hangs his head, he lays there with his eyes half open and not even curled up like he's sleeping. I just got him inside after not being able to find him overnight, and i've gently checked him and he's not hurt anywhere or vomitting-but he's a huge tomcat and for the first time ever he won't eat. When he jumped off of my bed he nearly fell down-like his legs wouldn't hold him up-and there is no emergency vet open nights or weekends in my little town! But we love this cat like a brother!

it was a strange situation (read about it in my other question), but pretty much if i didn't adopt him he was going to die.
i either want to name him oscar and call him ozzie, or name him lucky (because he was lucky i saved him!)
i already have 7 pets and their names are holly, lacey, chloe, sunny, smeagol, kiara, and chico.
which name (ozzie or lucky) fits best and sounds best?

We had appt to get her spayed next week, now we have to wait till the heat cycle is over. How long does it last and how can we relelive her discomfort?? And is there anything else I can expect to happen with this? Thank you... No, I will not get her laid, as much as she might like it, ha ha.

I want to get a beta fish. I might put some other fish with it. Apparently, they can live with other fish, just not other betas?
What kinds of fish can live peacefully with the beta?
Please include any advice you have about keeping beta fish.

I know that they can live in a small fish bowl, but that seems cruel. How big can the tank be without currents being too strong for beta? How many fish can I put in? (I am thinking of getting a 5-7 gallon tank)

OK, here is the story. I found this sweet Lhasa Apso loose in the neighborhood. She was about 5 or 6 years old. She disn't seem to like other dogs, but got along well with my kids.

Well, when I realized that she was in heat, I took her to the pound. My male Shih Tzu isn't fixed, so I thought that I shouldn't have them near each other and couldn't risk my kids not monitoring them well.

Now I see here at YA that I could be making money on breeding them together! I could have had Lhasa Shihs!!! What was I thinking!

What do you think? Did I deprive her of "the feelings of motherhood"? Did I missed out on "cute little puppies"? And couldn't I have made a lot of money selling these pure-bred designer CKC papered pups?

My yearling thinks he is a puppy. Everytime we go for a walk my mini bites and chews at the leadrope. He shakes it back and forth and it makes it very difficult to walk with him. His head is constantly down trying to get a hold of the lead rope. I tried to shake the lead rope, but he is starting to jump or rear at the sound and I get real scarried. Did I train him to rear or is he just scarried too? I quit doing it because I don't want him to jump up and now he is back to chewing and playing with the leadrope again in his mouth. I'm not getting no where. He also bites at my hand, legs and nothing works, it only gets worse. I already thought about selling him because I can't handle him. I only had him for 4 weeks. Please help. Thanks for reading.

she hates to be inside and races around from window to window knocking everything over and rips the house to shreds to let me know that she wants out! so to keep her warm outside, at night i have been putting 2 large jugs of hot water by her bed in the garage. i wonder if it would be even nicer for her if i put a heating pad in her bed. would that be safe? have any of you ever tried that? i understand that it is not healthy for an outside animal to have an actual radiant or convection heater in their living quarters because then they are prone to catch cold when they go outside because the ambient temperatures is so different from each other.
