on the carpet again after 3 years of being trained? I bought her when she was 8 months old. I would like to add she is almost bald that is why I do not train her for the outdoors. How can I retrain her again?

confine her to a smaller area when she is not getting 100% of your attention.

I have a 5 1/2 month old Bichonpoo. She is a little dog, just 7 pounds. I thought for the convenience I would train my dog to use the pads. She was doing really well with the pads. Then she would only pee on the pads, then she started having pee accidents as well. I started to take her outside. She does go outside but I have to keep a pad down because she still goes in the house. She will usually pee on the pad but if she doesn't poo outside and needs to poo she does it on the rug. Starting her on the pads was the worst mistake I ever made. Train your dog to go outside. You can get her a sweater or jacket that is what I do for my dog. I am getting so frustrated with her going n the house I don't know what to do.

I have a min pin who will be 2 later this year and I bought him when he was 4 months old. I made the mistake of using puppy pads too. He would go on them...well kinda. see he does this whole poop and walk thing and wouldn't go on the pad all of the time. after about a month of him constantly going potty on my kitchen floor, we started taking him outside to go potty and used positive reinforcement when he went. He is now almost 2 and wont go poop outside only pee. Well no, i take that back. He'll go poop outside at my moms but not here. I think that its because the kitchen has his scent.. ok back to your dog...

Why is your dog almost bald? Or did you mean just short haired? You dont have to keep her outside for hours, just quick trips outside. and if she still gets cold, put a coat on her (if your that kind of person). I personally would start taking her outside. It will take a while but she'll eventually get the hang of it. and who knows, maybe she'll like the snow (if you get snow). Mine LOVES it!!

Also, if you have any other problems with her going potty in the house again, talk to a local obedience teacher. They are alot of help!

start all over again, like you did when she was a pup. use a crate, or smaller confined area like above poster said.
start from the beginning, and she will catch on again.

have you changed anything, new house, new pet, another person living with you?
She could be "marking" her territory around your house for any of these reasons also.
