Can anyone please give me some information about pitbulls. My friend just got one and we have been doing our research but are there somethings you can tell me about training them and what they should eat and all the good stuff. My cousins just got 2 pitbull puppies the boys name is Soulja and we don't know what to name the girl. We want something unique powerful, and respected hahaha Just something that can stand up to Soulja. Heres a picture. Also can anyone tell me how old they think she is. Shes a pitbull puppy and they just got her and her brother yesterday. I know I can take her to the vet but I was wondering if anyone know how old she looked ABOUT?!?!? Please help with the name and age thank you!!!! Oh yeah and anything anyone can tell me about pit puppies. Thanks just looking for some info!

Heys!
I found this spider in my house the other day and was wondering what kind of one it was, I forgot to take a picture before I set it free (yes I took it outside and let it free) and well ye... It's more on the yellowish/brownish sort of color (like beige) and had these circles on it's abdomen (really many I would say about 16 to 20 or even more). It was fairly small compared to the bigger types of spiders. It doesn't live in a web. Sorry but that's all I remember of it... Btw it's in Australia and I thought it could be this one but I found no pictures of it... : Dictis striatipes. Thx :)

All of a sudden ion the last week he has peed like he is marking his territory. Nothing has changed. The same cat and other dogs have been here longer then he was. He also gets regular potty breaks during the day. Tonight we came home and he had peed on the couch, all the way throught the cushions. Any help would be appreciated.

I just saw this video of some of our troops abusing a dog. Are there any laws in the military that would prohibit such abuse? Is this video real? Watching it made my heart sink.

Every time that my dog goes out, he needs to be told to go potty or poopoo several times. He goes out in the cold snow, stands, eats snow, looks around, and even sits down. His chain must be nugged and he must be told ten times at least to go. This is the case for most dogs. Do you know why they do not just go out and do their duty without being told? Cute and nice answers please.

Right now I have a german shepherd dog, but I was planning to one day get a westie soon to have time to train it & whatnot before moving out. It wont be for a few more long months. The thing is the german shepherd I have now is what my mom would say is a jealous dog and very over protective. she wont let anyone near me without having sniffed them. she practically treats me like im her daughter. I dont want to get another dog if she's gonna feel like a leftover. Is there a way to find out how she might react? any stories?

ps. im not planning to leave her out either. i love my dog to death.

i have a nice sized house, and a big yard, but no fence. im pretty chill and i have sudden burst of energy out of nowhere. I know one person with a great dane and they say ia great dane will be perfect for me. I want to take him for drive and everywhere i go, (to show him) so should i get one, and if i do what kind of care medical and social do they needd. Im willing to sacrifice.

...and I don't get it. Nero is a 9 1/2yr old Wolf hybrid (Mix of wolf, husky, and chow - he looks like a Husky with an orange coat), and he has been the absolute perfect dog. He listens very well, he is usually in the house (I let him out into the yard in the morning, and walk him at night). Last week he got out of the yard and was gone for a day (I had called all the vets, put up posters, my bf stopped by the pound etc), since he came back, all he wants to do is go, go, go. In the house, he constantly whines and cries (which usually would only occur if he urgently had to go - he never poops in the yard), he is driving me crazy! I understand there are females in heat out there, but this is so weird...I mean he constantly whines, pacing, running to the door, and when we walk, he is just sooo excited, constantly looking around...hard to describe...

About 2 years ago I went to a friends house, there were 4 houses on 1 lot 2 in the front and 2 in the back, one was sort of a halfway house where the lady let a lot of drug addicts stay, my friend was dating the owner of all 4 houses, I recall beautiful puppies being born to a dog from the halfway house, I went to visit my friend a couple of times and saw the puppies growing, there was only 3 of them. At about 6 weeks I no longer saw them there, my friend told me one of the guys at the halfway house which had bumed cigarrettes off us, had killed all the puppies with a large kitchen knife for fun.

I felt like reporting the incident but didnt know how to go about it ,and didnt want my friend to think I was a rat.

What would you have done.
