Heys!
I found this spider in my house the other day and was wondering what kind of one it was, I forgot to take a picture before I set it free (yes I took it outside and let it free) and well ye... It's more on the yellowish/brownish sort of color (like beige) and had these circles on it's abdomen (really many I would say about 16 to 20 or even more). It was fairly small compared to the bigger types of spiders. It doesn't live in a web. Sorry but that's all I remember of it... Btw it's in Australia and I thought it could be this one but I found no pictures of it... : Dictis striatipes. Thx :)

dont know much about spiders but I live in fla and we have brown recluse spiders here and they are also called banjo spiders because they have a banjo design on their back . Yes they are poisonous but unlike rocker chick they do not have circles on their abdonmen.!!! I was bitten by one and went to the hospital cause it looked very nasty . I caught a couple of them behind my headboard and put them in a jar and took them to the hospital with me and the dr jumped out of his skin . Yep he said that was what bit me . I was lucky they caught it in time . I remember being really sick this was like almost 7 years ago . So you see I am pretty much up on brown recluses. good luck to you but stay away from bugs you cannot identify okay . It could mean your life . good luck and I hope I helped.

it sound like you discovered a new species of spider but since you forgot to take a picture of it you will not be entitled to the naming rights. sorry
