I just saw this video of some of our troops abusing a dog. Are there any laws in the military that would prohibit such abuse? Is this video real? Watching it made my heart sink.

i hardly think that this video was a fake . I hope the dept of defense gets sent this video tape and they are court martialed and punished the same way one of us would be . Yes I do agree just cause they are in the military does not make any difference . And I wonder who deemed them fit for military service years ago they would have been booted out immediately . My dad was in the marine corp so I grew up all over the world and I have never seen anything this cruel out of any one . In europe animals are treated very well by every one evern strays are treated well . There was no sense in what they did . My dad said that they are just a bad breed in some branches of the military. I am so with who ever said they should be treated no differently cause they are in the military. I hope the dept of defense does something . good luck and I hope I helped.

Ya I saw this earlier today. I saw a video from around '91 where something like this happened, also over there. The soldiers shot the dog. It was one of the most horrible things I've ever seen. I just don't get people. Anyway supposedly they got court marshaled so hopefully the same will happen to these idiots. Their faces are on camera so at least that's a start. If the military will man up and do the right thing we will see results. I seriously doubt it though.

The military has very strict laws regarding conduct of soldiers. If the video is real, the troops will be investigated and punished accordingly.

I recently read a story about a army officer saving the life of a german shepard puppy in Iraq. The story read that soldiers kill dogs, cats, etc, because of food shortages. I don't believe animal abuse should be tolerated in any faction of our army, or country in general.

yes i have seen this and it's disgusting. i have no reason to believe it's not real, but hope someone tells me it is a fake. yes there are rules to this sort of behavior and if this video is on the net, then the military command is aware of it. those involved will be punished, altough it will not be to the extint of the punishment they would receive for human torture. and i hope if true these men get full punishment. what a disgrace to the countless men and women who are fighting for us.

That is sad to see. i am not the biggest dog lover but random violence on an animal or human like that is not called for. poor dog was walking with a limp and looked malnurished. poor dog i cant believe people would take enjoyment out of random violence sad sad world we live in

I watched it and I cried. It is disgusting. I thought we were finding Osama not being mena to a poor animal that has been wounded. I hope we can do somethingwith that video. Plain disgusting for those soldiers.

I'm not going to watch it or I'll cry! but I think personally that they should have to be subjected to the same laws as we are..... just because they are in the military doesn't make them above everybody else!

Of course there would be a law against it, animal cruelty is ILLEGAL!!!
