We have a litter of Treeing Walker Coon Hounds, and I was just wondering how much they should weigh at 5 weeks old. I tried looking it up but I couldn't find anything on Treeing Walkers.

i just answered a question about a dog that likes cat and bird food and it got me thinking have you ever had a pet that loved some treat that was out of the ordinary? i had a rabbit that loved egg salad sandwiches, i have a horse that loves beer, hot dogs and marshmallows, another horse that loves strawberry ice cream, my dairy goat loves licorice. how about ya'll any strange ones?

I have a toy poodle thats 5 yrs old and he really used to like eating those pig ear thing and now he doesnt he tries but he quits chewing it after like a minute, and sometimes he has trouble eating the small milkbones. We feed him wet food but he also sed to eat dry and now if theres no wet food he wont eat anything. What can i do?

Hello,
We are getting a dog soon... And we love Golden Retrievers!!!
Someone is selling golden puppies around where we live... they are like 8 weeks old, and I don't know if it is good to buy dogs like that... Should they be taken away from their mothers that soon? Should I ask where they came from? Also, Is it bad to buy dogs from someone like that even if they seem nice? I don't want to do something that an animal shelter wouldn't aprove of! Please only answer this question is you have experience with this kind of thing, or are sure that your answer is correct!

My labradoodle always runs over and eats my Shitzu poodles food and she wont stop doing it. Also, my Labradoodle either goes up to my Shitzu poodle's face and nips at it or slaps her with her paw trying to play and then falls on the ground and lets the Shitzu poodle start attacking it. They do this all the time and when tha Labradoodle falls on the ground and the Shitzu poodle is attacking it, the Labradoodle wags her tail like she is having fun.

The Labradoodle is always trying to play and is very hyper, while the Shitzu poodle is very calm, grumpy, and most of the time doesnt like to play with people or my Labradoodle. What should I do to either make my Shitzu poodle want to play with people and the Labradoodle or make them stop fighting.

My aquarium is about 10 days old and has had fish in it about a week (I used Cycle to mature the bacteria levels quickly so I could add fish after 2 days). The nitrite levels are showing as 'harmful' - ie not good over long periods for the fish. How long will it be before the 2nd type of bacteria kicks in to convert the nitrite to nitrate? And is there anything I can do to speed it up? The 4 fish seem to be ok, perhaps breathing a little quickly.

The ocean in Marblehead, MA is really cold, i mean reeaaaally cold. Yet, I see pet owners tossing sticks into the water for the dogs to chase into the ocean and they do it. On new year's eve the water temp was so cold it hurt my finger. The water rarely even reaches 60 degrees in the hottest part of the summer. So, does anyone know if it is dangerous for our dogs?

the thing is that she got cancer and symptoms came out really late+there is nothing we can do. the past 2 weeks she got really sick.she's at the clinic+they are taking really good care of her but still--every time i see her i can't stop crying for days. i feel that she thinks i've abandoned her there. how will i get over her death?

Does it really matter what food you buy your pet? We have two old cats. I feed them Purina One or other purina products. Some of the store brands are so much cheaper and I'm always tempted to try them. I don't want to compromise my pets health for a few bucks but wonder if the expensive food is just marketing.
